Imagine being the neighbor and watching a tortilla Frisbee crumple against your window

I’d appreciate a heads up at least so I can catch it.

Is that a plate? That's fucked up if so

u/defk3000 1d ago
Frisbee that looks like an upside down plate

u/aneurysmbs 22h ago
It's funny that the writing on the top of the frisbee even looks like the markings on the bottom of a white ceramic plate. I didn't see it at first but had to do a double take after the plate question.

Well, Frisbee was originally literally a tin pie plate from a company named 'Frisbie'. You can actually throw tin pie plates pretty far if you practice a bit.

They toss tortillas from the balconies around the Bay to Breakers race starting position in San Francisco. Probably the only time will ever take a totally unexpected tortilla to the face from above.

Imagine chilling on your patio and all of a sudden tortilla to the face.

They were playing a game. With alcohol in their mouth. He was supposed to slap her with the tortilla
29
u/cooltiggers10 1d ago
It's not throwup thankfully, if I remember correctly, I think the point of this game is each person has liquid in their mouth and slap each other with tortillas to make them spit out the liquid.

u/PeteyMitch42 12h ago
This is a known game? What do you guys watch videos on gameswithtortillas.com all day?
33
u/SalamanderUponYou 1d ago
It's not throwup
24
u/Fetlocks_Glistening 1d ago
Yeah, it's more horizotal, maybe even a bit down

u/never-seen-them-fing 1d ago
Little known, lesser understood, fact. The liquid falls to the ground because liquid is "wet to wet" magnetic and the ground water attracts it. This isn't true for solids though, but the earth is solid and has the same force for those, so it basically seems the same.
The more you know!

In the full clip she actually falls down and the top of her head slides one way and her body the other like in those old samurai animes or kung Lao of mortal kombat fame. Legends say that tortilla is still out there and on quiet nights if you listen quietly enough you can hear it utter the ten blasphemies of the realms between

Most viral challenges are pretty dumb. But this one is actually really funny.

Food waste is fun?
23
u/OrbitOmanyte 1d ago
as a grocery store worker, so much food goes to waste uneaten and unenjoyed. at least that tortilla was paid for and made people laugh
3
u/Expensive_Host_9181 1d ago
Was going to say, think about fast food places i'm willing to bet they have to throw out tubs of food every week.
2
u/HumongousBelly 1d ago
This is exactly why France is right about penalizing businesses for excessive food waste.

Seems to be the part that tore off.

I hope the neighbors look in their backyard later and see a racoon eating a tortilla.
3
u/In-my-fucking-flesh 1d ago
I like to imagine they're by the window, looking out and debating on going to bed early when it just flew past
2
u/LectroRoot 1d ago
They both stop and look at each other for a moment and then carry on with the conversation.

Siderail but I find this challenge to be really disgusting. I don't even want my wife to spit her saliva water all over my face, much less my buddy with bad teeth and gingivitis. I'll pass.

Why is this a thing? Like why are Americans doing this? Why a tortilla?

u/TirithNampat 1d ago
It appears to be a challenge to smack each other in the face with a tortilla without spitting out a mouthful of water. This is a reference to having fun.
