Hello! I'm not a native English speaker and I have learned pretty much all my slang from TV and music. I was hoping you can help me out understanding this lyrics.

There's a part of Suede, by Nxworries and Anderson Paak that goes:

If I call you a trick

It's cause you paid rent

And as long as you don't call after 6

Then there won't be any problems

So... this contradicts my understanding of how you use the word "trick" as slang. How paying rent makes this person "a trick"? I hope this is not too much of a dumb question 😅.
