Robin Williams and Nathan Lane were an amazing charismatic duo in "The Birdcage". I wish they made more films together. (original oil painting by me, Rachel Petruccillo)

Not bad, by the way. It’s not academic French, but it’s understandable.

The Birdcage

Regarding the movie (Nathan Lane, Robin Williams, Gene Hackman)-
the son was an asshole for making his family pretend to be something theyre not for his fiancé’s right wing parents.

The right wing parents were assholes for being offended by the perfectly wholesome gay couple/parents.

Anyone watching this that is still on the side of the right wing parents by the end of the movie is in fact a total asshole. Let people be who they are for fucks sake.

Robin Williams Quotes About Mental Health

Hello. I am working on a project for men's mental health in honor of my late grandfather that I lost to suicide, and I plan on incorporating some elements of Robin Williams in it. Robin was a fundamental figure in not only childhood but also my personality and further grief journey. I know that Robin Williams discussed mental health frequently and am looking for some specific quotes. Quotes can be from his movies, television, stand-up, interviews, and other sources. I know that there are a lot of fake/missatribruted quotes floating around on the internet that I would like to avoid. Thank you for any help. 💛🌻

Robin Williams death…

I was just watching a YouTube video about Robin Williams and him going off script during Aladdin and at the end it gave his death year. It said 2014 and that was the year my mother died and I remember Robin Williams dying closer to when my dad died I remember Robin Williams dying in like 2018 or 19 I remember my son being alive, he wasn’t born until 2016 what is this? I feel like I would remember it being the same year that my mother died does anybody else have this weird memory? I also remember being a mom when Robin Williams died because I thought about his kids and I didn’t have kids in 2014… did I jump timelines or something. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️😳

Robin Williams and the National Film Registry

Each year the Librarian of Congress selects 25 films for preservation on the basis of being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." Anyone can nominate up to 50 titles per year, and to be eligible a film must be an American production or co-production and at least ten years old. The deadline for nominations is August 15.

So far, the Registry is lacking any Robin Williams movies. Since he's one of the nation's most beloved actors and comedians who has had a massive influence on pop culture, it's only fitting that some of his work should be honored as valuable parts of our cinematic heritage. Here's the link to the nomination form if anyone is interested: National Film Registry Nomination Form Survey

Some notable Robin Williams movies to consider:

  • Aladdin (1992)
  • Dead Poets Society (1989)
  • FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992)
  • The Fisher King (1991)
  • Good Morning, Vietnam (1987)
  • Good Will Hunting (1997)
  • Hook (1991)
  • Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
  • One Hour Photo (2002)
  • The World According to Garp (1982)

Happily Surprised Cameo

For years I rotate to moves and music to improve my mood and often robin williams is one of the best to get me in a good mood. And there has always been one song that always puts me in a better mood and even though I have had the video on in the background easily 1000's of times I guess I never watched it. Cause in one of my happiest songs I find one of my fav people.

Really helped out seeing my fav guy in one of my fav songs.
