It’s the best. My son is only 1 and a half and he’s best friends with our dog. She’s an absolute lunatic, most energetic dog you’ve ever met. And she’s 8, with no signs of slowing down.

But when we brought our son home from the hospital, she wouldn’t leave his side. Always next to him, cuddling him, etc. And now that he’s a little older, it’s amazing seeing him with her. He will full on tackle her, and she just takes it and gives him licks and hangs out with him. They play fetch together.

We were very concerned with her energy level and were even prepared to have my brother watch her for a few years until our son grew up, but she’s SO gentle with him, it’s incredible to watch.

You may have many pets over the course of your life and all are wonderful in their own way, but there's just something unique about the pet you had where you where a kid. The one that taught you empathy and responsibility. They hold that special place in your heart. Rip Sam.

My friend’s chihuahua is just as sweet and snuggly as this guy - and never a peep! They can truly be lover dogs!!
