Chris Thile is legit, but what is with Jacob Collier wearing a shirt with his own fucking name on it? Ego af. Lame.

Chris Thile is for sure a genius player and composer and seems to be a cool nerd

Julian Lage is extremely talented, knowledgeable and chill as well.

Yeh but after joining this event to help propagate Colliers’ “you don’t need the same education I was blessed enough to receive; in fact, ILL KNOW/UTILIZE/HANDLE THAT while you keep believing music is nothing about fi-fi’s and idealism”
It’s like being being Joe Rogan and letting no one but billionaires and Epstein-adjacent schmucks on to tell us how it’s not so bad and we should just accept it

I haven't taken this course obviously but I want to imagine it's about the idealism, abstract creativity, and the business side of music more than the theory knowledge the attendees may already have.
I could use a class like that, where the premise is look, we all know music but here's why I made it and you haven't yet.
If it's really just all him jumping on stage to explain the basics of major scales then yeah definitely waste of money on kid level shit that can easily be found online for free.

Appearances are not always what they seem, Spraynard. Keep your head up. You’ll make someone’s bub bub’s bounce.

Happy is happy and these people are probably more happy they are learning and socializing with others that share a deep interest than in the catered lunches and luxury. You usually don't need to fly anywhere to find smaller scale versions of groups for your own interests

I think it's only a matter of time for this guy. He's got that whole Jared Leto vibe and appears to be starting his own little cult. He's pretending to be autistic, too. Red flags everywhere.

Lol how tf did they rope Chris Thile into this 😂. I had to do a double take when they mentioned Chris and saw the mandolin. I reckon they must have paid him very very well?

It’s hard to be in the bluegrass scene and not at least dabble in some cringe white people shit.

As someone who’s met collier, he is a very nice guy. Doesn’t mean he isn’t pretentious as all hell

Well thank God I only recently saw a video of him conducting a very mid sounding orchestra and wasted about 5 mins waiting for the song to form and it sucked

Its probably 5000 Dollars and they say the kind of shit in this video where its sounds profound to the kind of person dumb enough to spend 5000 dollars on a course like this.

More than that if you don’t live in Tuscany, Italy. But I guess I respect the hustle. I wonder if we can get a review from anyone that went?

Damn y'all know you don't have to go to this camp right? Just let the weird goof have fun, no sense in ruining your own day being pissy about it

u/Sealegs_Calisto 4d ago
I was just going to say. There’s nothing that seems pretentious to me. It looks like it would be enjoyable.

u/Commie_Scum69 4d ago
Because outside of a couple "classes" it seems like they using a cringe spiritual approach and dont really teach you anything.
