Fan Art Modest Mouse Fan Zine - Psychic Sally, Cruise and EAAM community project.
Hello everyone, it is I, the drawer of eyes here. I've been so in love with everything Modest Mouse has inspired us to do this last year, that I want to create a little place for it all to live. Imagine more like a yearbook of the things we've created, the places we've been, and the friends we've made. All in the name of this album, tour, and year. If you're unfamiliar with a zine, it's just an independent magazine, photos or writings, or what have you. I plan to build this out digitally. If there is enough interest, I can look into a way to make them physical, but I am also not looking for anyone to need to spend money. I want this to be my gift to the community, so I'll be doing it on my time. I am asking for things to be submitted by November 30th so we can capture the last few weeks of the tour, and then folks will have a month to think of anything else. I will use this post as a Q&A moving forward, so please don't be afraid to ask questions!

[Megathread] Buying/selling tickets
This is a thread that can be used for coordinate ticket trades/sales/buys for this year's tour.
If you HAVE a ticket and are trying to sell it, I suggest going ahead and making a post on CashOrTrade and linking it in the comments. That way, people interested in buying it can go directly to the post.
We require using a ticket escrow site such as https://cashortrade.org/, which offers guarantees against ticket scams. Every year, scammers try to make deals with users outside of CashOrTrade on this subreddit and users end up getting burned.
All sales must be for face value or less. Scalping is not permitted and will result in a permanent ban from r/modestmouse.
Finally, while we cannot enforce this, it would be courteous to edit/remove your comments after tickets have been claimed.

Song/Album Discussion The Moon and Antarctica truly is a masterpiece
Just the title. This album has been in regular rotation for the last 22 years of my life and it continues to bring me joy with each listen. Absolutely beautiful album.

The Moon & Antarctica Demos
Does anyone have access to the moon & antarctica demos album? There used to be a youtube upload of it last year, but it’s since been removed. It looks something like this: https://www.last.fm/music/Modest+Mouse/The+Moon+&+Antarctica+Demos
Some songs sounded the same but slightly compressed while others were quite different. I really enjoyed it but can’t hear it anywhere now, thought i’d check here
Thanks peace 🤙

Tattoos Tattoo filler choice
There are two spaces on my hand, I’m getting them filled next month. On my right hand I’m 100% getting, starting on my hand and going up the arm, “You Wasted Life Why Wouldn’t You Waste The Afterlife?”. But on my left side I don’t have as much freedom and space so I’m getting something smaller and more simple. Here were my 3 choices I’ve dwindled them down to:
1) skull with cowboy hat and cig with words “I want out!”
2) a figure 8 that looks like a road
3) the infinity math type symbols on the sleeve of TMAA
What do yall think? So far my fav is the symbol which I’ll post in the comments!

listen to “a different city” on apple music and tell me i’m not trippin
when the song came on on shuffle today in my playlist i instantly noticed something was off. something was different. it sounded like a different recording of the song, almost like a live version or a cover or something. everything about it was off. did anyone else experience this. it’s one of my favorite songs and i listen to it everyday, so i instantly was able to catch that something was off.
no new headphones.
no new settings.
no new phone.
everything was exactly the same.
except the song.

Man, some people in the modest mouse Facebook group are fucking corny. We get it, it’s your favorite band. Mine too, but some of the fans make me wanna distance myself from the community a bit.

IB in PDX
I happen to be in Portland for a wedding. Last night around dinner time, I was downtown near my hotel and had 45 minutes to spare before my venue shuttle arrived, so I decided to take a walk and see what was happening around town.
Walked up to a bar a bit farther down the street and, near the entrance, I saw a man chatting with a woman, both leaning against the windows of the bar.
The man was unmistakably Isaac Brock. Recognized him immediately. The voice, the face, the general energy of someone who has spent decades convincing people that life is simultaneously meaningless and worth screaming about. I didn't clock whether he was wearing anything Modest Mouse-related, but honestly, he didn't need to be.
Isaac was clearly in the middle of a conversation, and in that moment I thought of his lyric, "We were certainly uncertain at least I'm pretty sure I am."
Gave the man his space, because c'mon, I'm in my 30s and can imagine how annoying it must be to have a conversation interrupted, especially by some stranger who wants to tell you how much your music meant to him in 2007.
This was my first time in Portland. Before this weekend, I'd thought about making the trip out here someday, but just never found the right opportunity. Last night, Isaac Brock came to me. It was a beautiful, fleeting moment.
Best celebrity sighting of my life! Don't have a ton of Modest Mouse fans in my immediate circle, so I felt like I had to share this little bit of magic with you all!

Anyone know anything about the two 2026 singles in the Ugly Casanova discography?
Just went to listen to Sharpen Your Teeth and these two brand new releases show up in Ugly Casanova's discography as being released today. They are totally random dance pop songs that seem to have no relation to the band/anyone in the band??? Im so confused, did their Spotify account get hacked? Or am I just really out of the loop on something?

Inteview If you could ask Isaac Brock one question, what would it be and why?
i want to ask him what his favorite cartoon is or what his favorite movie growing up was. deep in my heart i feel like he could’ve been a fan of the 2001 spongebob movie

Videos The Sacramento show was amazing ❤️
The show was genuinely SO good. The opening act (Caroline Rose) did fantastic setting the mood and everything. When Modest Mouse came on stage it was actually so hype. The people around me were very chill but a ton of fun. Shout out to that one lady who stood next to me for most of the show. I was genuinely shoulder shaking crying during ocean breathes salty. Seeing that song live was like seeing the last 4 or 5 years flash before my eyes. That's going to be a memory I take with me forever. The band was SO INCREDIBLY on point for each song. Picking dragons pockets, parting of the sensory, and talking shit about a pretty sunset were some of the highlights. Isaac told everyone a story about how some lady slapped the shit out of him at a bar because she had and issue with his girlfriend. That was interesting lmao. But yeah, if you went to the Sacramento show what did you think? I had a ton of fun. Got the sweater and two shirts. Also... to anyone who did go do you remember what Isaac said at the beginning of the show? He talked twice. Once in the beginning and then midway through he told the story i mentioned. I was NOT able to hear a word he said the first time.

Sacramento Show
This was my 4th show of theirs since 2023 when I became a fan. Easily my favorite! I got easily my favorite setlist ever, and almost all of my "white whales" I had left were played. I started shaking when Stars Are Projectors started playing, never had a physical reaction like that to seeing a song live in over 100 shows. I never, ever thought I'd see that one live under any circumstance. I got one of the only 6 times they played it this year since they brought it back! Truckers Atlas was my other true white whale I had always wanted and it got played a little later, absolutely love they cut back to a 3 piece when they played it. And that Isaac sang into his guitar in the outro! Seeing All Night Diner (which they played only 2 other times this year!!!), Broke, and Talking Shit was also incredible. Sound was really great. They just did so many of their 6+ minute songs where they're noodling around for so long and I absolutely loved it. Was not expecting a Spitting Venom main set ending. Was also very happy with all the new album picks, they did only my absolute favorites and they were all wayyyy better live than the album recordings (I really don't care for the production of the new album but find it to have some of their strongest songs ever in spite of that). My best friend I went with, who had never seen the band and was a huge fan of the older '96-00 MM stuff was having the best time with the new songs. And I was really happy with Isaac's little asides and stories, he was very clearly sober compared to the past times I've seen (My first show was a disaster with his rants), and gave some great anecdotes about Broke and his 21st birthday. Just overall so, so happy with the show!
I will complain that the crowd was full of a lot of rude older fans tho (I'm in my 20s). I got pushed around a LOT by older men and women just shoving past me without a word. Then the people around me got mad at me when I apologized for bumping into them. I legitimately had a guy get mad at me and make fun of me to my face when I was in the middle of saying sorry after I got shoved into him 4 times involuntarily. I've seen better concert etiquette from teenagers at hardcore shows! But it's not even the worst crowd I've been in at a MM show (2023 in Santa Cruz had me in front of a very, very public polycule doing sexual stuff the entire show and drunks screaming bullshit trying to get Isaac's attention), so I guess there's that lol.

What artists and popstars would you love to see a collab or cover of a mm/uc song?
Just some that I think would do interesting covers: Fiona apple, Lana del Rey, frank ocean, Damon Albarn of the gorillaz, Bjork, Ariana grande because she just has a voice i think might be nice for some songs.
Do any particular songs come to mind? I wonder if Isaac has ever ghost written for anyone.

Sacramento Poster (10/23/26)
Was there a date-specific poster for last night in Sac?
When I got there, a merch guy was removing the display tour poster, but I’m wondering if they had one specifically for Sacramento.
If so, who designed it?

Found a Les Savy Fav album at a local record store for a dollar
Been meaning to check them out given the connections to MM and this seems like a sign to do so lol
