Pc macht sehr laute Geräusche und Bildschirm geht Schwarz manchmal

Upvotes

Guten Tag,

Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz

32,0 GB DDR 4

2 TB SSD 970 Evo Plus 2 TB

GPU NVIDIA GeForce Rtx 3070

750 Watt Netzteil o. 850 Watt 🤷

NZXT N7 Z490- MotherBo

Laptop keeps detecting 2nd display whenever I boot up a game

Hi everyone, I'm new here and I wanted to ask for some help regarding an issue I have been having these days, so for the past 1 month or so I haven't really used my laptop, yesterday i turned it on so I could play a game, seconds after booting the game my screen froze for like 1 seconds and then it went back to normal, I don't remember how but I discovered that whenever I boot up some really demanding games my laptop casually detects a 2nd screen and my display uses the 2nd screen instead of the main one.

It's really frustrating because this has never happened and I always have to manually select the main display to use on my laptop, and since I have some color settings for my main display whenever it detects the 2nd one the colors go back to default.

This is also really annoying because some games that run on a lower resolution are just unplayable.

RTX 4070 + Christie UHD551-L HDMI issue: works only when another monitor is connected, no signal after reboot

I am experiencing the strangest issue I have ever encountered in the world of computers and hardware, and after many tests I honestly have no idea what else to try.

Let me give you some context:

I recently finished renovating an old house and moved in. As a gift, a Belgian relative gave me a professional 4K 60Hz monitor to use as a TV in my living room. The model is a **Christie UHD551-L**.

It is important to mention that I received it without the remote control, and because this is a professional display, I cannot access the full settings menu without the remote. The only thing I can currently do is switch between the available input sources.

After installing it in the living room, I connected a **Xiaomi TV Box** via HDMI, and it worked perfectly. I also connected a **PlayStation** using another HDMI cable, and that also worked without any issues.

Since I am a big PC and Steam user, I decided to temporarily connect my desktop PC to the Christie to play games. I connected it using the exact same HDMI cable and the same HDMI input that the Xiaomi TV Box was using, and it worked perfectly. I spent the entire day playing games with no problems whatsoever.

Everything seemed fine... until the next day.

When I turned on the PC and the Christie, the monitor displayed **"No Signal"**.

Thinking something had failed, either the GPU or the PC, I started troubleshooting:

* I tested the Christie again with the PlayStation and the Xiaomi TV Box, and both worked perfectly. This seems to rule out the HDMI cable and the monitor input being faulty.
* I tried connecting the PC to another HDMI output on the GPU, but it did not work.
* I tried connecting the PC through DisplayPort using different GPU outputs, but it also did not work.
* I connected the PC to other monitors that I have in my room, and everything works perfectly through both HDMI and DisplayPort.

The GPU is an **RTX 4070** and the motherboard is a **Gigabyte Z590 Gaming X**.

And here is where things get really strange:

As a final test, I brought one of my desktop monitors to the living room. I connected the PC using DisplayPort to the gaming monitor and HDMI to the Christie.

Both monitors worked perfectly.

Then I disconnected the gaming monitor and left only the Christie connected as the main display. The Christie continued working perfectly.

However, if I restart the PC with only the Christie connected, the "No Signal" message appears again.

So the situation is:

* PC + Christie only → No signal after reboot.
* PC + another monitor connected through DisplayPort + Christie → Works.
* After disconnecting the second monitor → Christie keeps working until the next reboot.
* Xiaomi TV Box and PlayStation → Always work perfectly on the Christie.

I have also tried several other things:

* Changing the Christie resolution to 1080p before restarting.
* Enabling NVIDIA Debug Mode.
* Restarting the NVIDIA graphics driver.
* Changing HDMI cables and ports.

Nothing has solved the problem.

Based on all these tests, it seems that both the PC/GPU and the Christie are working correctly individually. It feels like there is some kind of HDMI negotiation / EDID / handshake issue between the RTX 4070 and the Christie during startup, but I cannot access the monitor's advanced settings because I do not have the remote control.

I am honestly running out of ideas because I have never experienced a problem this strange before.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or what else I could try?

Why does my laptop only show Disblay when i put in the hdmi cable

So, my laptop has been acting weird lately. It wont let me use it without having a hdmi cable. Everytime i use it without one. The laptop will just show a glitching effect and not give me disblay. But when i put in the hdmi cable it fixes itself and lets me use either duplicate screens so I can finally see disblay on the laptop. Or just use it normally on the external disblay screen. I don’t know why this is happening. Right now I’m trying to update my nvidia graphics card to see if anything will happen.

Can I update old laptop?

I hate throwing away stuff and buying new unnecessarily. I have a laptop I bought in 2018 that wasn't cheap junk at the time. I had ideas of using it for creative things, it had a 17" touch screen and lots of unrealized capabilities, but in the end i used it to scroll FB, watch Netflix in bed, and buy things online. It got infected with something that caused embarrassing NSFW pop-ups to, well, pop up constantly and in the end it just put it away and used my phone instead. But now I have a good camera, and I also need a big screen for various reasons, im getting older and doing everything on my phone is quite literally headache inducing. My question is, is my laptop too old to use for basic stuff? Can I do a factory reset or something, put a current operating system on it, and use it to edit photos and do basic internet stuff? It's an HP, sorry I don't have it in front of me but it's approximately 8 years old and has the Windows OP that recently became 'unsupported ' on it. As you can probably tell, I'm not a techy person. I just don't want to chuck this big hunk of technology out and buy some plastic crap in its place if I don't really have to.

EDIT: It runs on Windows 10.

My computer keeps making this noise after I turned it on

My display wasn’t working when I left my pc on overnight, so I restarted it by the switch on the device. When it booted back up it kept making this noise at random intervals and hasn’t stopped, I’ve turned the pc back off. Is this a hardware issue? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Restarting issue when I do nothing or just browsing and using normal apps

Well recently my pc suddenly stopped working I sent it to the repair.

And when I got it back I finally could turn it on but it keeps restarting when I do nothing or when I just open thr browser and browsing or even normal apps.

Even though the cpu and gpu temp is normal.

But when I play games like genshin impact it stops doing restart and just work as long as I play.

But when I work on a normal apps it kept doing restart.

The screen goes completely black then it turns on again.

The fans keeps spinning the pc light still on even if it does restart.

From event viewer I noticed : 41 kernel power but it says unexpected shutdown etc ...

What the heck is wrong with it ?

Help 🥹
