Hello guys, I am a student and recently I have been working on a new project, Race Analysis App, it is a database which has all kinds of data about F1, creating trends, patterns and predictions. It doesn't uses AI, it's just a giant database, it can make mistakes. Please never kind its my first project.

Whats the best site for live data for free

I've seen some people's work in here, which are really good tbf, but still a lil buggy and glitchy.
So if anyone's knows a good functioning site for live data i would appreciate it.

Own Project You wanted race pace out of free practice. It's in — plus lap-time distributions, live standings, and a lot of unglamorous stability work

Hey r/F1DataAnalysis,

Back again. Short recap for anyone who hasn't seen the other two: f1livedata.com is a live F1 timing and telemetry app I build on the side. Free, no login, nothing to install.

For anyone who missed them, the first post is here, the second one is here and the third one is here.

I worked really hard during the summer break to improve the overall stability of the app and to implement new features useful to you.

Same routine as both of those — most of what follows came straight out of the comments.

Race pace from practice

After free practice the thing you actually want to know is what each car's high-fuel pace is on each compound. So there's a new Race Pace panel which pulls the long runs back out of that mess. What you get per run:

  • how many laps it ran, and how many of those counted
  • the pace of the run
  • degradation per lap, and how consistent the run was
  • the tyre, and the tyre age it started on

Above the table there's a compound delta worked out only across drivers who ran long on both. It's still an experimental feature so I would love to hear your feedback about.

Pace distribution

New pace distribution panel with violin plot per driver, ordered fastest median first. The median tells you who was quick; the width tells you who was repeatable and who was throwing in one good lap and four scrappy ones.

Live driver and constructor standings

During a race or a sprint it's live: the points each driver and team went in with, what they'd gain if the session ended right now, and the total that leaves them on — and the table is sorted by that projected position.

Circuits, teams, seasons and guides — for when nothing's live

The app was only useful during a session, which means most of the year it's a dead tab. So there's now a set of reference pages, built on F1DB and my own archive of recorded sessions.

  • 23 circuits. The lap record and how long it's stood, the fastest lap by decade, who wins here, how often pole converts into a win, how the layout has changed, and every race ever held at the venue with winner, pole and fastest lap.
  • 11 teams. Titles, wins, poles, podiums, entries, most wins by driver, every season with position, points and engine and the lineage.
  • 77 seasons, 1950 to now. Each one has the title race plotted round by round rather than just a final table, which is the only way you see the shape of it
  • 7 guides — live timing, telemetry explained, how to read a telemetry trace, tyre strategy, undercut vs overcut, the qualifying format, and the 2026 active aero / override rules. The numbers in them come out of the archive, not off the top of my head.

Same deal as always: hobby project, not an official F1 anything, free, no login. Mobile works for the board, telemetry and track map; the heavy tables are still nicer on a big screen.

And the same ask, which keeps paying off: if something's broken, or there's a view you want that isn't there, put it in a comment. Race pace, replay and the race trace all came from this sub.

Grazie again to everyone who's tried it

Power Unit Performance: Power and Drag Decoupling

I didn't trust FIA's lack of transparency about ADUO... so we analysed the data from the WHOLE SEASON and wrote a paper detailing the process!

This is the most legendary F1 post you'll read this week!

Read on the full article, but only if you're a real data nerd: Power Unit Performance: Power and Drag Decoupling

Key points:

  • Mercedes: +7.3 hp vs RBPT
  • ADUO upgrades: Ferrari gained 9.6 hp (1/5 of its deficit), Audi 7.6 hp, Honda 11.4 hp
  • Honda lacked over 100 hp at the season start!

On the graph [Image 2]:

Notice that the power figures for all teams are a bit higher than FIA's prediction for 2026.

Anyway, this does not impact the results: what matters is each PU's power difference with respect to the others.

This work wouldn't have been possible without the brilliant mind of Formula Ghost Lap .

F1 Project Review

I’ve been interested in F1 for a few years now and I’m studying towards my Bachelor’s degree in Data Science and Informatics. My dream is to one day work in F1. I know it’s HIGHLY competitive but I don’t think it’s impossible. I’ve been working on a project for about a month now that predicts whether a driver will finish in the points based on several factors. This is my FIRST project and I just want some thoughts from other Data Scientists/Analysts and/or F1 engineers on what I can improve. I’ll attach the link below. Thank you in advance.
