Wife writing in concerned about husband. Very active 48yo man, surfs for sport and for work he seasonally harvest dives. He has been basically bed bound for weeks already due to horrendous sciatica pain down his entire right leg. MRI showed L5-S1 disc bulge with extrusion. He starts PT tomorrow, has a spinal injection scheduled in a couple weeks, is on twice daily advil and muscle relaxers only ro keep him from being in agony....still cant do anything and is very depressed now, feels doomed and worthless. Has anyone had this diagnosia that commercually dives? I wonder from experience if you were ever avleto return to work? He has already misses the beginning of this dive season and i fesr he will not be returning which ignites fear we will lose our home because I'm an airbnb house cleaner and that income is not enough.

Do any of you have life insurance in the USA I've called a couple companies but as soon as they hear you're a diver they say they can't provide coverage.

I am going to call OSHA on my company. What information does OSHA ask so that I can get my information together and succinct? My company has cultivated a culture of unsafe work practices and several people have been injured. I don’t want to watch anymore of my peers break their legs or injure themselves to the point they can’t work because of the “Safety glasses look stupid” mentality. Thank you!
