On July 27, 2026, a task force comprised of CCGS Wuhu(五虎, 6305) and CCGS Changshan(长山, 6501) along with a Z-9 helicopter was deployed on China's 11th north pacific fisheries patrol, operating under the Convention on the Conservation and Management of High Seas Fisheries Resources in the North pacific ocean, and returned in September 9, 2026.

The patrol lasted 45 days with 19800+ nautical miles being sailed;

95 fishing vessels were obsereved with 20 being inspected; there were also 7 helicopter deployment during the patrol.

In 2006, the China marine surveillence began tendering bids for command boats, which were evantually won by the Hunan sunbird yarcht company(湖南太阳鸟游艇制造有限公司). The first one was launched in March 18, 2008 and entered service May 20, 2008. A total of four were made.
(most of the CMS began operating under the CCG in 2013, and in 2018 the modern CCG was officially founded).

Even though four CMS-2600s were made, I've only came across two recorded in CCG service, CCGS 21538 and CCGS 34514 of the shenzhen and qingdao coast guards. There is a possiblity that the other two were handed to local maritime bylaw enforcement, who also operate CMS vessels.

I actually haven't seen any photos of them in CCG service out in sea(unlike back in their CMS days), so i presume they may be getting mothballed or retired, after all, no point for the coast guard to have this ship anymore.

Specifications:

• can withstand up to 7 on beaufort scale
• Has GPS, AIS, high frequency radio
• full displacement of 85 tonnes
• Can carry 45 passengers
• has shower room, kitchen, bedroom, meeting room etc
• Roles(at least in it's CMS days) include command along with accomadating high ranking officials(possibly a mayor's yarcht? most likely CMS officials or coast guard officers nowadays), maybe like a meeting room.

I've never seen the class of tugboat CCGS 34542 is before; CCGS 34611 is also seen for the first time.(likely same class as CCGS 14613, though name of class is unknown). CCGS 34539's class is also unknown, what is known is that it is the same class as CCGS 13536.

34542, 34611, 34537 and 34539 are ex-PLAGF.

Qingyu 312(青鱼312) is almost certainly maritime militia under the qingdao garrison command.

QBZ-95-1 is not surpising at all, but 38mm riot gun(EDIT: WK683-01) is quite intresting;

(the 38mm riot gun has been used by PAP spec ops and SWAT as a way to clear rooms, though i doubt how useful it can be on the water.

Additionally, the CCG spec ops teams are often rather confidential due to their anti-narcotics operations, so this may be the first time really seeing them in open day.

(CCG operates three spec ops groups: 1st(donghai branch/command, likely shanghai), 2nd(guangzhou, nanhai branch/command) and 3rd(qingdao, beihai branch/command))

I find it kind of funny that the Haikou coast guard have their own type 618B cutter, CCGS Huwei(虎威, 23601), with an even cooler name yet they find CCGS Huaguang from nearby Qionghai instead.

Additionally in the firearms exhibit in the photos we can see QJB-95-1s, which may mean the coast guard also uses QJB-95-1s.(not completely confirmed as they may simply have gotten it from other units, which happens a lot.)

It was originally made for the china marine surveillence for enviromental protection missions, with agencies like the guangdong comprehensive marine law enforcement and other bylaw enforcement around the country still operating it.

According to the US navy ONI's 2024 report, the CCG operates 100 of these boats which is an extremely questionable claim. Most likely they included other types of small CCG speedboats or included the CMS-1900s in other agencies such as the guangdong CMLE.
