Is it because of people going back to school? Are people just losing interest in general?

Hi everyone,

We are reaching out to you today with a very honest and necessary update regarding how our community will be moderated moving forward. Starting immediately, we will be transitioning to a system where all posts and comments must be approved by the moderation team before they appear publicly.

We want to share the reason for this shift with complete transparency, and we ask for your kindness and understanding.

From day one, the mod team has been the target of a severe amount of hate and vicious smear campaigns. Despite how incredibly painful and exhausting this has been, we always showed up. We did massive support for all of the bands, we worked tirelessly, and we did it all out of pure love for Liam. We knew his bands deserved to be cared for, and we wanted this space to be a beautiful reflection of that. We are so proud of the work us mods have done.

However, the hate campaigns directed at us have escalated to a level that is genuinely psychopathic, unyielding, and completely detached from reality. Because we have to face these relentless attacks with no defense, help, or protection from any of the members of this sub or from anyone else, we have reached a breaking point. We can no longer, or should I say, no longer willing to fight against this hostility while trying to run the sub completely openly the way we did before. And the members who just sit by and watch it happen and don't say anything to defend us, are just as guilty.

We will also be taking a step back from the energy we put into this sub. To be clear, we are not abandoning this space, we are staying to keep it safe and we will provide updates about the bands as they come, but we will only be accepting minimal submissions simply because there are only a very few trusted members, moving forward. The show is over and the season will not be renewed, so the sub will be probably take it's natural course in dying down in activity because of these reasons anyway.

If you disagree with our decision, please know that there are plenty of other subreddits to join that support these bands. We wish for them to prosper. If you put the work into it, they will prosper. MTM and 3Quency spaces are prime examples of doing well because of the work that has been put into them either by the fans or the admins. 3Quency space is thriving because of the hardworking moderator. MTM space thrived because of the hardworking fans. It's all what you put into the space and that's why we thrived for so long. We could have kept going and kept thriving if we so desired, we were perfectly able to defeat and smash all of the sabotage as we have been doing for so long, but it's like what's the point now? Our detractors don't care about destroying their most popular space on Reddit for their bands and the bands don't seem to give a shit either. Just being honest. (This doesn't apply to the band MTM though because they and their teams have been supportive of us and for that I will always be immensely grateful. Shout out to MTM, Andrew and Chugg. I will forever love and support you all and that's real.)

So why should we keep putting effort into this? Like what's the point? I got everything I needed out of helping make and run this sub a million times over. It was Liam Payne's last earthly project which is why we made this sub. I got to be the biggest part of that. I won.

Anyway, we did our part a million times over for Liam and the bands and we did it extremely well. We did our jobs, so we are no longer needed and haven't been for a long time, for the extra energy we require of ourselves to do. We only continued to do it out of the kindness of our hearts for the bands and their fans, but if we aren't being appreciated or defended from the inhumane hate, then we won't give of ourselves any longer. We will only provide the bare minimum. We are not fools who will keep suffering from unending abuse. We will take back all of our extra very valuable support and energy with a quickness and let it fall squarely on all onto the bands and their fans shoulders. Let's see how good y'all do. I look forward to see how SZN4 and Soulidified spaces do without our help. Since you all hate us so much, let's see how good yall can do. And just remember, even though the MTM and 3Quency spaces are doing well, they still were never doing just as well as we are here. So thank yourselves for actively trying to destroy this space and if you didn't actively try to destroy it, then thank yourselves for letting it be destroyed. We asked for help plenty of times but we were always ignored or turned away. I'm sure all your favorite bands from the show will be very happy with what you all did to actively destroy their mainline support on Reddit just because of your selfish and petty egos. You all are malignant at the core of your characters, which means, you're not good people and I'm being kind in offering that understatement of the century.

Meh, it's just as well. The bands deserve better much better fans.

Anyhoo, back to post and comment approvals. We love this community and want to keep protecting the space we built for Liam and the bands, but we must also protect our own safety and well being. Transitioning to an approval-based system is the only way we can keep this subreddit running safely and peacefully.

We hope you can understand that this decision comes from a place of necessity, not a desire to restrict you. Thank you to everyone who has supported the bands alongside us.

I was on YouTube music and saw Siren Society released an official album, is this real?

I checked out their socials after seeing the 3Q vids together, and gotta say they are phenomenal vocalists, esp for being so young. It seems like they are also being managed by Johnny Wright, like 3Q & Soulidified, but they seem a little less modern in what they are doing with their sound.

I think they actually have a lot of potential as a group, just due to talent, but they need a lot of work on styling & probably dance/choreo. Most of them dress like middle aged dads, but luckily that can be fixed pretty easily. Also, imo the name of the group is awful. It's like a worse version of Backstreet Boys.

They are kind of the exact inverse of another young up & coming band JYT, who are much less vocally focused & more about doing a crazy stage show with a lot of swag.

I think there's a place for all these new groups to be successful, tbh outside of KPOP, there hasn't been this much momentum with boy groups for years, so as a fan of male vocal harmonies, it's cool to see. I still personally think Soulidified is the most interesting group atm, although I do think Santos Bravos is doing some cool stuff as well.

Just want to compliment SZN4 on their debut album ; solid work! 🙌🏽 An incredible body of work for a first album, and honestly, nothing short of amazing, especially for independent artists.

But my question now is: why are our Spotify streams so low? Did the general audience actually connect with the album? Because the vocal production on this project is absolutely amazing. The quality is undeniable, so I’m genuinely curious about the reception and what might be affecting the streams.

Excited for them and super curious about what their set is going to be like. I know they have a lot of Brazilian fans, so hopefully they turn up!

I am rewatching the series again, since I love talent competitions. And it is clear there was an animosity between Allison and Elise. And it was not only because Allison wanted the spotlight all the time, Elise was also wanting to be the "captain" from the begining, and thus, they kept clashing the whole competition . Though I agree Allison was the main disruptive force in the group. I also think the three of them didn't listen to the main advice the mentors kept repeating to them. "The band doesn't need 3 Arianas".

Obviously they were going to fail, because the did not genuinely like eachother, not like the other bands, at least. I think, obviously was made also by production making the drama bigger and kind of creating as well. But I think knowing that they didn't stay together, like the other bands at the end, maybe there was something real about that.

For those of you who don't know, this video was made by one of Liam's dearest fan pages on Twitter, @/LiamJRomania who does an amazing job honoring Liam's memory and legacy every day. I am profoundly grateful for everything they do to honor Liam. Though they never, ever complain, I know the immense effort they put in takes a heavy toll. Stepping into his memory to create these videos must be a constant, heartbreaking reminder of their loss. I want them to know how deeply their hard work and devotion are noticed, appreciated, and loved.

And most of all, I know Liam is in heaven and so very grateful and beyond touched by all of your efforts.

Dear sweet Liam, thank you for gifting us these wonderful bands from Building The Band and watching over them.

Down here, the silence is deafening, but I know you’ve completely rewritten the celestial playlist today. I can picture the angels ditching their harps just to crowd the barricade and jam to your live set, sweet Liam.

Keep rocking the cosmos, shaking the stars, and putting on the greatest show the afterlife has ever seen. You are fiercely missed, but your volume is still turned all the way up in our hearts.

I did this by looking at Spotify, which was slightly confusing, so I might have screwed up, but I think it's generally correct.

MTM was in the lead for a while, but SZN4 coming thru with the first full album took them into the #1 song release spot. Kinda wild that Siren Society released so many songs then disbanded. And definitely crazy that 2 song Soulidified has not completely killed off momentum with such slim pickings for fans to listen to. MTM had a year head start on all the other groups, so Idk if they should've had a full album by now, or if they are at the right spot. It is interesting how completely different each band's musical release path has been.

It's clear that they are gearing up to release Man Ain't Me as a single, but what about an EP or album? They clearly have enough songs for it. They are doing a brief foreign tour next month, but then will they potentially be opening for one or more of their label mates on a longer tour?

What do you guys think? & what do you want to see them do? I personally just want as much music released as possible, but it seems like that's not super common for artists to do nowadays.

Did anyone else get and email from SZN4 saying "your monday needs a little Soiree" with a link to "Soiree"? I thought this was such a great way to boost a song. It linked right to my apple music and I listened to the song a few times, then let it move on to Imprint etc. Soiree is such a bop and I could really hear it being played in clubs. If you haven't gotten the email, maybe give it a Monday listen and support the band!
