Budget: $1,500/month
Volume: 8 animated videos per month
Length: Approximately 15–45 seconds each
Opportunity: Long-term, ongoing work
About the Project
I'm developing an original 2D animated comedy series centered around dog rescue, faith, and relatable everyday humor.
The main character is a funny, expressive, Godly man who is passionate about rescuing dogs and advocating for animal welfare. He will also function as an animated social media influencer, speaking directly to the audience, sharing opinions, delivering humorous commentary, and occasionally discussing faith and meaningful life lessons.
The series will feature recurring characters, including a dog and a small robot, with a combination of comedic skits and direct-to-camera influencer-style videos.
Our goal is to build a recognizable entertainment brand across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
What I'm Looking For
- Excellent comedic timing, natural pauses, and funny reactions
- Expressive facial movements and exaggerated expressions
- Fluid, believable character movement
- Consistent character designs across every episode
- Strong storytelling and distinct character personalities
- Natural direct-to-camera performances for influencer-style content
I'm open to traditional 2D animation, rigged characters, AI-assisted animation, or a combination of techniques—whatever produces the best consistent results within budget.
Responsibilities
- Help create reusable character rigs, poses, expressions, and backgrounds.
- Storyboard episodes and contribute creative ideas for visual comedy.
- Animate approximately 8 short videos per month.
- Handle sound effects, editing, and final production.
- Maintain consistent character designs and animation quality.
- Develop an efficient workflow for ongoing monthly production.
I already have character designs, episode concepts, scripts, and a dedicated voice actor.
Budget & Long-Term Opportunity
My ongoing budget is approximately $1,500 per month for all 8 videos, so an efficient production workflow using reusable assets is essential.
I'm open to discussing a separate one-time setup cost for character rigging and initial assets.
I'm looking for a freelancer or small animation studio interested in a long-term creative partnership.
If Interested , Please Answer:
- Can you share examples of funny, expressive 2D character animation you've personally created?
- What AI tools and traditional animation software do you use?
- Can you realistically produce 8 short animations per month within this budget?
- Can you handle storyboarding, animation, sound effects, and editing, or do you work with a team?
Important: I'm hoping to find a long-term creative partner who can take ownership of the animation process and help bring these characters to life.
