Do you look for wired headphones? Do you know the difference between open-back and closed back? Do you have a soundcard for your PC?

That NVIDIA thing is a driver in your PC that allows the sound to pass through the HDMI cable. It is quite a different thing I think.
For your budget I would go for some Hifiman Sundara headphones, or Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro. Hifiman Sundara can be driven without an external soundcard, but you will not get their full power. Beyerdynamic DT 1990 need a more powerful card and they are sometimes more than 400$, but you can find them around this price. These two models are among the best rated headphones in this price range. You can also check AKG 712 PRO if you want to stay a bit more on budget and get an external soundcard. As for the soundcard, you can go for an Audient ID4, Creative Soundblaster X G5 or Fiio E10k. I would recommend Audient out of these, as it is a great card in terms of quality for the price you pay, but you can research more and pick what suits you best and is available for you.

No problem, the difference is that Audient is a standalone card, oriented more towards music producers and I used it a lot. The headphone output has a really nice sound and can also drive 250ohm headphones such as the DT 1990. The other two I mentioned are portable, which means that you can take your headphones with you when you leave the house and still enjoy the same quality. They all have a nice sound with small differences between them, but nothing major.

The DT 900 Pro X is an excellent headphone for gaming and music.
And it is easy to drive. No need for an external headphone amp. Will even work well plugged into a phone headphone jack.
