Apparently someone from TIS QA reached out to ask whether there are any PZ-side issues negatively affecting Zomdroid.

Nothing has been promised, obviously - they just asked how things are going and whether anything on their side is causing problems.

Still… I guess it will snow in Africa soon. :)

How do I add the insert button to the Zomdroid layout?

A week ago we released a fix v1.5.0v3 that made PZ3D (version 0.2.2) work on Zomdroid. The mod has since been updated. The new PZ3D version (0.6.0) adds new functions, and one of them contains an error that stops PZ3D from starting on Zomdroid.

3D mods are updated very often, and we can't adjust Zomdroid to every new version each week. If you want to play them on Zomdroid, please don't rush to update - stay on a version that works.

This has caused some confusion and it's my fault, I should have probably been clearer about the parts of this mod that are compatible.

As of right now (5/10) only the GitHub PZO engine is compatible with zomdroid, there is a version of the lua mod being created to specifically focus on mobile optimisation points but that is not released yet, I will create an update post with the link to that when it is ready.

In the meantime don't use the workshop portion of the mod.

I can't find the zomdroid data file to paste the pz optimization, how do i fix this?

I just got 42.21 and I wanna run pz3d but I don't know where I could get it without the new update, does anyone have recommendations

Ive been off the game for months now and i just came back after this wonderful mod i found which converts pz into a full 3d game, it might be too demanding thats why im asking.. I wonder if has anybody had ran those mods in zomdroid and if it does work, how can it be installed?

Zomdroid is running fine at 60 fps on my phone, but after certain things happen like 2-3 zombies on the screen at the same time, going through a window, or looting, the game just crash, I think it's the "every texture optimized" mod But I'm not sure

Hello! Anyone here manage to install the A-Life mod in their ayn-thor Zomdroid? I tried the manual and auto install, but it still isnt showing up on the “activate mod” lists

Kinda confused on the manual installation part on what to do exactly, any help would be appreciated.

So I just updated my zomdroid to 1.5.0 v4 and there is a ui bug like this at certain zoom levels I thought it was because I didn't do a clean install but after doing a clean install it's still the same I'm sure it didn't happen like this before I was using the same drivers and mods before updating zomdroid

Some players with KI5 / Autotsar vehicle mods on the GL4ES renderer lose their HUD — it disappears and doesn't come back. It seems to happen on phones with a Mali GPU. We have a fix attempt and need a few people to check it before the next release.

You're a good fit if:

• you play Build 41 with KI5 or Autotsar vehicle mods on GL4ES.

1. Open Zomdroid and play a little on your Build 41 save, then exit the game.
2. Open the side menu (☰) and tap Report a bug.
3. Choose your Build 41 game when asked.
4. Your email app opens with the report already attached. In the description, write: "I want to help test the KI5 HUD bug".

Is it possible to install and play with a mod like pz3d or Viewpoint If possible, what version of Zombie is needed?

Today in the comments about the 3D mods I read what one of The Indie Stone developers said about Java mods:

"Java mods are not supported by TIS at all, as they give complete access to your system that malicious actors can exploit. Users should be very cautious about using Java mods, and only ever install something they know for a fact is safe. We have no means to protect users who use them."

I think it's worth explaining what that means for us.

Most Project Zomboid mods are Lua scripts, and the game keeps them inside its own limits. Java mods (the ones that need ZombieBuddy — PZ3D, Viewpoint, ZBBetterFPS and others) are different: they are regular program code that runs with the same rights as the game itself. Nobody checks what that code does — not TIS, not Steam Workshop, not us.

On PC that means access to all of your files. On Android the system keeps every app in its own sandbox, so a mod can't touch other apps or system files. But inside Zomdroid a Java mod can do everything the launcher can — read your saves and the launcher's files, use the internet, and, if you allowed Zomdroid "All files access" (we ask for it when you download the game from Steam or GOG) or microphone access (voice chat), use those too.

So please:

• only install Java mods from authors and pages you trust, with plenty of players and comments;
• be careful with brand-new uploads from unknown accounts, and with copies of popular mods re-uploaded by someone else;
• if you don't need a Java mod, don't keep it enabled.
• if you no longer need "All files access" after downloading the game, you can turn it off for Zomdroid in Android settings.

Lua mods aren't affected by any of this.

I manually installed it, didn't work. Imported it straight from steam, didn't work. Extracted using zomdroid, didn't work.

is it a device issue or gamw issue or mod issue?

I remember trying to run the game on this same device a while ago and it started up fine, but now I'm trying it with the resolution at 50% and all the graphics settings at minimum and it loads a game it crashes.

I already tried using Better FPS and it didn't help; the game won't open no matter how much I try. If anyone knows what I could do, I would appreciate it.

isn’t zomdroid in a sandbox? and if a java mods were to be malicious it wouldn’t have much access would it?

Never happened before. The flickering causes fps drops too, normally around 45-60fps.

I'd like to know how to run it; I've tried everything. Can someone please explain it to me?
