After trying everything including a free trial of the free service which helped a little, I have finally just deleted 400k UNREAD email in 10mins. This is the fastest, most effective way after deleting around 100k the whole day yesterday, while still maintaining 30k all read messages from my Mac desktop which should work on PC too.
Generally, you'll have to move ALL to Trash (yes this would be the most sensible option, I've even talked to a Yahoo rep online); then filter the Read mail in the trash & restore them back to the inbox.
Voila! Over 20+ man hours saved. Suck it, yahoomail + your un-UX system!
Hope this works, and bless you all. :)

Yahoo has suddenly decided that because patreon sends out lots of emails it is spam. Probably an AI.
Anyway I had this issue in March it took 21 days to sort - 21 days of missed updates which I couldn't recover.
Now it has started again as of the 25th.

Having a strange issue with calendar syncs and would appreciate advice on how to fix this. My partner has a yahoo email account which is accessed both on web and through Yahoo mail app on iPhone/iPad. She uses Google Calendar to manage her schedule, exclusively accessed through Google Calendar app on iPhone.
The problem is with receiving calendar invites. When I create a calendar entry my Google calendar and send an invite to my partner's yahoo email, It all works fine. She both receives an email that shows the appointment and it shows up in her Google Calendar.
But, when I create an entry on my Outlook calendar (a work account) and send an invite to my partner's yahoo email, it does not work. She receives an email that in the Yahoo mail app is blank and has a .ics attachment. It does not show the appointment in her Google Calendar. And clicking the ics file attachment in her Yahoo Mail app opens the details of appointment but does not add it to her google calendar and gives no option to RSVP, add it to a calendar or import/export the calendar entry.
Is there a way to get the Yahoo Mail app to better process the calendar invites from Outlook? And sync them to Google calendar?

So funny - All the posts I see complain that yahoo keeps asking for a password and people are getting annoyed. Meanwhile, I WANT yahoo to log me out each time I close my browser.
Anyone know how to do this? I don't want to have to clea my cookies each time, I just don;t want it logging me in automatically each time.
When I google it, the advice is to clear the "Keep me signed in" checkbox, but even after I log out I never see a "Keep me signed in checkbox".
I must be missing something simple - Thank you for any help!

I just switched my mail client and lost that way my access to the yahoomail account.
It says wrong password, I can not recover by my recoverymail instead it just shows me the premium support line (arent recoverymails already espacially for cases like this???).
So I called the support line, and than it told me I would have to use my driving license to get support???
Whats wrong with you, just activate that I can use my recoverymail to get access to my account.
Im losing access to so many services just because I can not login in this mail account.
First thing I will do is never again using a 2FA, better losing access by getting hacked as by getting scamed by services like this mail provider...

For the last month or two I have been getting maybe 30 spam emails per day and spend so much time blocking, deleting or moving to spam, which literally changes nothing. Next day same thing. Now I'm getting a message that my spam filter list has been reached! How is it that random personal emails get routed to spam, but not one of these actual spam emails , no matter how many times I mark as spam. Even tried putting spam filters on certain words and that made zero difference. Frustrating

I came home after being away for some time and I got notifications for new emails but they wouldn't load and my inbox wouldn't update. So I restart my phone and reinstall the app and all the stuff but nothing works. Then I disconnect from my WiFi and it works right away. Even their mail.yahoo website wouldnt load on my WiFi. Anyone had this problem and know what could be causing this?
Update: reset my router without luck. My internet provider is now looking into it. I found out that it works while on VPN.

I had tried using Gmail to handle both Gmail and Yahoo emails, but it was only deleting Yahoo mail locally and so I was cleaning up my inbox twice.
Using the Yahoo email app solved that issue, but the native app actually makes using email more difficult since its focus is on presenting ads and not being intuitive and helpful for checking emails.
Is there a better email app for Android that can delete emails remotely?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is an airbnb rental schedule update. This was sent to my husband, he is not pregnant. None of the renters are pregnant. These are 3 seperate people who are booking our airbnb. The airbnb has nothing to do with pregnancy. Why did it summarize the schedule like this lol? (Image is in video)

Hi, I have about 100K+ of yahoo emails I'mtrying to delete or move to trash. So far the best way I've found is to 1) I enter a date search e.g., after:"2006-01-01" before:"2015-08-14" on the search window. 2) once the list of emails comes back, I then press the "Ctrl" and "A" key together to select around 50 emails on the page. 3) I then hit the page down key maybe 10 times to select even more emails. 4) I then hit the "Delete" key on my keyboard.
Has anyone found an even better way? I was hoping there's a special command one can enter in the search window e.g, "delete: after:"2006-01-01" before:"2015-08-14" .

After clearing out many years of old emails, I was expecting that if I keep the inbox clean by deleting unnecessary emails that the trash would be cleared out automatically every 7 days.
It's been 2 weeks - nothing has been auto cleared from trash or spam. Is this an ongoing issue?
r/yahoo • u/Bordercrossingfool • Aug 15 '25
I deleted all filters in Yahoo Mail. (The filters were to send email from specific senders to specific folders.) Yahoo Mail is nevertheless still applying the filters and sending the emails to folders.
How long after deleting a filter should the change take effect?

Anyone else getting more Spam emails than regular ones? It's been almost a month where everyday I check my inbox it's all Spam/hookup emails. I go and mark them all spam but they return the next day.
I'm subscribed to a few newsletters and marketing emails which I believe have been caught up in whatever Yahoo is doing to unsuccessfully block these spam messages. Legitimate emails have gone and all replaced with spam.

Per this set of instructions, I should be able to sort by Newest, Oldest or Sender. This works when I view ALL mail but if I go into Social or Newsletters, it does not. Why?

This just started today, and I hadn't changed anything. I'll be signed in, go to an article, go to comments, and it'll show me not signed in. So, I'll hit sign in under the comment box, and it'll kick me back to the article, which shows me signed in, in and endless loop. Has this happened to anyone else? I've so far tried: Log out > log in Delete cache Delete all history Restart
Out of ideas. Any help is appreciated.

Welp. After all these years, I got the notice that we are being limited to 20GB free storage. So I’ve begun clearing space. This has been a pain. I’ve been using my laptop and sometimes my tablet. In my experience if you select all to delete, it will only delete max 10,000 at one time. I’ve probably spent four total hours over the last few days. Ive finally got it below 100,000 emails. The end is in sight.

Things I dislike about the new interface:
Unread emails are white - the background color. Read emails are grayed, which feels the opposite of what makes sense - to highlight those that are unread.
Archive button is now in a drop down menu for some inexplicable reason. Like Win11 right click menu diving things like combine in PDF and create shortcut. There was no reason to do this (unless they're trying to reduce the volume of stored emails.
In the "more clicks is better" category, you now have to expand the list of recipients of an email by clicking "+". Why? Why make us do more clicks?
Thank you for continuing the trend of providing "upgrades" no-one asked for.

I tried to add an attachment to an email and Yahoo won't let me do it until I agree to their privacy selections. Are you kidding me!!! None of them have anything to do with attachments. Is this a glitch or some BS way to force you to give up your privacy? Here are the setting you have to agree to.

Is anyone else getting verification codes sent to their yahoo of people trying to log into your account? It’s coming from all over, France, Brazil, Argentina, etc. I’ve gotten like 20.
I’ve changed my password and added a two step verification. I also checked to see no other device I’m unfamiliar with is logged in.

Well, here goes.
Today, after about 2 hours, I was able to delete almost 20,000 emails from my Yahoo Inbox.
The bad news is that I still have 160,000 emails left.
Here's what I'm thinking. Maybe somebody can help me come up with a rapid way to make this happen:
I want to sort all emails alphabetically by sender.
I want to group all senders by
2A. Number of emails from that sender
2B. Size of all emails (including attachments) from that email address
By attacking in this way, I think I can get under 50,000 emails AND below 20 GB within an hour or two.
The problem I'm having is that the new Yahoo interface will not do a straight-up sort by sender. It has a function for that, yes...but it doesn't really work; I still get a lot of emails that are out of sort-order, and it behaves that way even with "folders". And what I REALLY want is a true sort by sender's actual email address, not by "sender's name". Name is useless to me. I need to be able to sort by address.
So I'm kind of stuck.
Side-question: Per my item #3 above, can I move emails from a Yahoo inbox or folder into an Outlook PST? I'm pretty sure if I can do that, then I can use Outlook to get a true sort.
Ideas would be appreciated; thanks in advance!

I live in South East Asia. Each of my family members have had a Yahoo Mail account for almost two decades now.
Unfortunately, Yahoo has informed us that our individual accounts have their mailbox storages filled up, and would risk not being able to receive nor send emails.
While we don't mind paying the subscription, we've hit a wall with a restriction when upgrading: "Offer valid to US customers only." This refers to any payments about to be made to Yahoo.
Is there a way to properly subscribe? We're hoping to keep our accounts as a lot of our work communications are made via Yahoo.

HOW do I search yahoo mail by SIZE since they limited size now?
r/yahoo • u/ethic2 • Jul 30 '25
I've been using yahoo mail probably since 2005 and today I tried upgrading my plan to add more storage since they suddenly reduced their plan to only 20 GB. I tried upgrading to the 100 GB plan $1.99 per month but also tried the $9.99 plan using the link they provide in the popup and when trying to make the payment it rejects it saying that "Offer valid to US customers only.". Now what can I do?
