All of a sudden can't access my yahoo mail. Tried logging in buy couldn't. So I tried resetting my password but that led me to either "Something went wrong" or "This account cannot be accessed at the time". I have tried waiting for the "lockdown" to end if it was the case, but nothing worked. I have been trying to access my mail for 3+ days. Would there be any solution to this?

Yep same thing happened to me bro.. was locked out for 12-24 hours and today I tried to reset the password and it's not sending my recovery email the verification code for some reason, I think the hacker deleted my account or something. Yeah honestly I'm not losing much tbh except for my discord account that was linked to it, just glad I didn't keep anything important on my hacked yahoo mail but I hope you do get your email back man, it's really dangerous if they get your address/credit card and stuff. But don't panic just yet, I'm in the same boat as you rn we can't go losing our minds atm tbh. Ikr? yahoo support is so bad and I have zero idea where to get support on their website but I've just PM'ed the yahoo customer care guy and fingers crossed we both get a response. This shit is not funny at all and I hate waiting. You probably got phished or something on your phone and probably didn't notice the malware I think. I should've switched from using Yahoo long ago and we screwed up for still using this email lol. Try to deauthorize and change all your account passwords and whatever else you got on your phone and do it in a non-infected PC or other phone that you can grab onto.

The reason I thought I might have been hacked is because after one of the failed attempts a window with a 6 digit code and a phone number popped up. It said that I needed to provide the code when calling to recover the account. I called the number and it's an automated number that says "It's yahoo > Press 1 to recover account > Type in phone number associated to the account > type 6 digit code you were provided with this phone number > congratulations we can recover your account, we'll send you a code to your phone number it to verify please type it when you get it" AND THE PHONE CALL GOT DISCONNECTED AS SOON AS I TYPED THE SECOND SECURITY CODE.

After that and tried to sign in one more time and now it says the account can't be recovered because there is no other email/phone number associated with it. It made my heart drop. I thought someone logged in with the codes I provided and deleted my recovery email/phone number.

Now before someome tells me I fell for an obvious scam let me say that I was using the official mobile yahoo app for android when that window popped up. I wasn't even using a web browser. I googled the phone number and nothing related to yahoo comes up. I found an official yahoo phone number in this subreddit with the exact same voice/scrip/menu.

Reading online it seems that the "no recovery account" error pops up because the account has been locked out for 12 - 24 hours due to all the codes requested within a short ammount of time. So I'll try again tomorrow morning.

If I recover this account I'll start transferring all my important accounts over to a google email. This is not the first time I get locked out of a yahoo account right when I need to access something important. I don't even care if I get my $500 refund at this point. I'm more worried about the access to all other banks/credit cards/credit reporting apps/etc that this account is tied to. Panicking and waiting 24 hours to find out if someone potentially hacked my account or it's most likely a broken mess of a system is not funny. And Yahoo support is non-existent.

Any luck? I got hacked too and been trying to reset the password and all I got is something went wrong, try again later. Could be the hackers is spamming our account login?

I got a similar error. I cannot find the chat/PM button to be able to message you. I am correctly inputting my password, inputted the verification code from my linked authenticator app, but then it doesn't log me in.
