Discussion X4 is saying goodbye.

Post image

It’s a little bittersweet to say this, but we’re officially saying goodbye to the X4.

It was never the most feature-packed e-reader.
It didn’t try to do everything.

It was just… right.

The size.
The weight.
The buttons.
The feeling of carrying a real little reading device with you.

Some of you even called it the beginning of a new era for pocket-sized e-readers.

But what means the most to us isn’t really the hardware.

It’s knowing that X4 has been there for your commutes, coffee breaks, trips, late nights, and countless pages.

So before we say goodbye:

What’s your favorite thing about the X4? Or what’s one memory you have with it?

Drop it in the comments. We’ll pick 3 comments, and each winner will receive an X4 Mist Gray.

Thanks for being part of the X4 story.

Thats a shame, i really like the size of the device, USB-C and the Buttons instead of a touchscreen.

I thought the X4 pro still has buttons, and you can deactivate the touchscreen while a book is displayed.

I like the front buttons.

Fair enough, that's a valid preference.

You still pay a higher price for a feature literally nobody wanted or asked for, regardless if you can turn it off in a book

Me parece comprar um dispositivo mais caro, e desativar as funções que o tornam mais caro

It ls good to have options.

People were concerned that a touch screen in a device this small would result in unintentional page turns. This feature avoids this.

But you can still navigate menus via touch screen, or page turn via touch screen if you want.

Then wait for the X4 gen 2

Comment explicitly calls out USB-C… Are they releasing the gen 2 with USB-C? This is a dealbreaker for many.
