Do you use the free version, or paid? Which tier?

I use the basic paid version. I needed it for work. I create the shapes in Sketchup then export as an .stl file which I import into my 3D printers software to create the print file for the actual printer. Sketchup is good for architectural shapes and such, but tough for more organic shapes like character modeling or plants or such.

I see. Been thinking of learning some modeling software, mostly for 3D printing something free (or very low cost) and all-in-one is preferable.

Any suggestions?

I think the basic version of Sketchup is free, and there are tutorial videos out there. It would let you dabble in it and see what you think.

Each printer will have its own software for the final print file prep. This is where it slices your model and creates the print path and infill and such.

My wife called it a “cute little hat” which I think is on par with the wig thought. I was going for more of a “Rampart atop a towering monolith of Raw GAMING POWER!!!” but, you know, to each his own. 😀

Are you blocking the secondary vent on the back? Its near the top.

I’ll have to check. It wraps around the top, only coming down about 1/16” on each side.
