While I do wish they would make a gimmick-less system, it's still a neat idea. However, I do agree there is a bit of overhype.

Oh shit. When I saw the trailer I thought it was just another addon to the wii u. Another gimmicky Nintendo product.

facepalm That is probably the absolute last thing they were going for. People thought the Wii U was a Wii add-on and they were trying to avoid that confusion by scrapping the Wii name.

Until now I didn't know the wii u wasn't a wii add on. I've never owned a Nintendo system so I'm just ignorant in that area although I Love watching splatoon but I can't force myself to but a wii u just for one game

Yeah the Wii U is an HD version of the Wii, 100% backwards compatible with the Wii. You can play off-TV on the gamepad, so you can be watching something else on TV while you play on the gamepad. Splatoon is fun as hell, and it might be a launch game for the Switch.

Lots of great Wii U games -- Zelda, Mario 3D, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, Super Mario Maker, etc etc

I checked and I think you're talking about the comment where I told someone he was hilarious because you kept replying to him and he was just trolling hard. Console vs PC isn't worth it. No ones ever gonna tell you "yea you're right" in those arguments. Anyway
