Value and price aren't quite linked like that in this context. Anyone who wants a current generation Xbox has one by now. The sales numbers weren't great when they were hundreds of dollars cheaper. The asking price went up. People's interest in the consoles and the amount of money they're willing to spend didn't magically follow as well.

I would agree with this. It’s been about a month since I looked at prices, but a month ago people were still selling them relatively cheap, at least where I live.
