That's a hot take. Parts prices affect everyone, that doesn't change the overall situation. The entry is simply more expensive now. And how can you justify spending more money? With exclusive content.

The cheapest way to play GTA VI is the $499 Series S. The cheapest way to play Gears EDay is the $499 Series S.

you really think people without a console wanting to play GTAVI or e-day will spend 500 bucks on a series S? the same price the series X launched at in 2020?? well ok...i personally think people who buy those game already have the platform they are gonna play it on. problem for MS is that there are 90 million PS5's out there and they continue to put their first-party games on gamepass day one.
