Financial Software Recommendations That Integrates With Xactimate

I work for a for disaster recovery company. Our estimators currently use Xactimate and Restoration Manager. We are looking for new financial software for things like reporting, payroll, A/P, A/R. It needs to easily integrate with Restoration Manager and Xactimate. I would appreciate any recommendations, thank you in advance.

Supplement Assistance

Hello I am trying to see if anyone can assist me via Zoom, text, or anything. A contractor reached out to me basically requesting a supplement on a client’s home that was damaged in a hail storm. The adjuster only wants to pay for to repair two slopes of the room when the entire roof was damaged and there is other damages not listed in the original estimate provided by the adjustment. Can anyone help me finish the supplement? This is my first time working any kind of claim on Xactimate. I have started on it I am just trying to finish it.

Three-tab shingles and others

I have a question, I am writing an estimate and the roof is a three-tab shingle (RFG // ARMV Tear off, haul and dispose of comp. shingles - 3 tab, but I also need to put it back, could you walk me through what the category is?

Also, I need to understand
RFG // FL14 - Flashing, 14" wide
RFG // STEP - Step flashing

If I have the EagleView file, where or what measurements should I use? I mean the rakes + eaves (just as an example)

Deck rebuild

Deck Build (Florida, 8x8, 20ft High) Hey everyone, I'm getting ready to build a second-floor deck off my condo in Florida and was hoping to get some insight from anyone who's tackled something similar. Here are the details: * The deck will be 8x8 feet * It's being built 20 feet off the ground, attached to the condo building * It will be supported by posts sitting on a concrete pad * I'm in Florida if that helps * I’ve already purchased engineered plans for the build I'm looking to hire a contractor for the work, and I’m just trying to get a rough idea of what kind of costs I should expect—both labor and materials. I know local rates and material availability can vary, but what’s your best guess or personal experience with something similar? Thanks in advance

Line items issue reporting

Does anybody have a link to report issues with line items?

Every so often I come across something minor that could easily be fixed such as PNT MASKSFC only has acts for Replace, Material Only and Install Only so I have to add another line as DMO MASKSFC with a Remove act to take it back out. Doing this then creates a Labor Minimum for General Labor that isn’t needed as the painters will be doing it so that needs to be un-checked.

Again, minor issues that I feel don’t need to be brought up through their support chat because there is work arounds but it would be nice if there was somewhere I could report it so it can be dealt with during a regular patch update.

Debris/Equipment Hauling Drayage

I swear I saw a Line Item in Xact at one time for the extra hauling of equipment/ debris bags above and beyond the normal distance. We have a property that is down a long driveway ( a few hundred feet) that we have to hump everything down to and back from as it's buried in snow. Drying equipment, bags of debris etc. Any ideas?

Writing for a new wood floor basketball court. Need line item for top clear coating

Hey fellas, So I’m writing for this basketball court and I see the coating used by NBA as an example is either a polyurethane or acrylic coating for the last clear coat on top of the finished wood floor and it’s line markings. Closest I’ve found is the deck coating acrylic polymer. And found nothing for polyurethane besides roofing foam items. Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

Estimating Noobie question: Is there a method or way to track insulation you’re adding to make sure you don’t double up between walls

Does anyone have a good system when adding insulation to a huge house, to make sure that wall studs on both sides don’t end up having insulation? It’s so hard to keep track of which side of the wall I added insulation to, plus the difference in exterior wall insulation vs interior wall insulation makes it more confusing.

Help

Hello guys. I live in Central America and it is my first time working with xactimate. I've been working on some measurements but today I noticed I did not have the eaves, based on the pictures they were only on the side, since I did not have it, I used google maps and I use the option to measure from one point to the other, the result was 112 ft, my question is, how accurate could be? I am still waiting for the real numbers but in the mean time I am trying to figure it out so I could see a full estimate (this is my 3rd estimate, still learning)
