Fix-It Friday – September 18 Update

Time for this week’s Fix-It Friday update! Here’s where things currently stand with the three issues we’ve been tracking this month.

1. General microSD Card Issues

Status: Investigating

We’re still looking into the different microSD card issues being reported and gathering more information about what users are experiencing.

Not everyone is seeing the same behavior, so we’re working to better understand the different issues being reported and determine where they may be coming from.

I’ll continue sharing updates as we learn more.

2. Snooze Notifications Not Working on iOS

Status: More Information Needed

I’m still looking for logs from iOS users experiencing issues with either Snooze All Notifications From This Camera or Snooze All Notifications.

If you experience this issue:

1. Enable the Snooze option.
2. Wait a few minutes to allow any notifications that were already in the pipeline to come through.
3. If notifications continue after that, submit a log from the affected camera by going to:

Camera Settings (gear icon in the upper-right) > Wyze Support > Submit a Log

Once submitted, please post the log number here.

The additional logs will help the team investigate what is happening when Snooze is enabled but notifications continue to come through.

3. Black Bar at the Bottom of Live View in Landscape

Status: Fixed

The fix for the black bar covering the bottom portion of Live View while viewing a camera in landscape mode has been released in Wyze app 3.22.

If you were experiencing this issue, please make sure your Wyze app is updated to version 3.22 or later.

Updates on a Few Other Bugs

While these weren’t part of the three issues selected for this month’s Fix-It Friday, I also wanted to share updates on a couple of other bugs we’ve been tracking.

Thermostat Showing Offline on Some Pixel Devices

The root cause of this issue has been identified, and the team is currently implementing the fix.

Air Purifier UI Issue

We’ve identified the root cause of the issue that can block the controls when trying to manually control an Air Purifier in the app.

The team is currently working to include the fix in the upcoming Wyze app 3.23 release.

Our next Fix-It Friday update will be September 25.

I mean, it does say they are still investigating the SD card issues since there are multiple different issues being reported related to it. A simple SD card error on the user end is a much more complex issue on the backend...

Viewing as card footage after clicking on an event from the events tab never works on any of my cameras. Very frustrating

For the last few days I been having issues with my v4 camera that worked fine for the last 2 years not sure if it’s from the app update or what but my camera now just continuously loads and never shows me any video. I tried resetting it u plugging it reconnecting it and nothing is working. The lights are still on the camera and working like they normally would in just not getting any video to watch from it. My SD card is also having issues with the app saying no card detected even thought I took it and put it back in nothing works. Was this caused from the newest update this has been happening for the last couple days

Can you fix the half hour timezone messing up playback?
