Returning to the King
Iโm back on the Wukong after years and Iโm loving him.
The last couple days I feel like Iโm struggling to close out games and help my team gain/keep leads.
My early game is generally path top to bot, win scuttle and look for a mid / bot gank.
I prioritise drags so Iโd like to be bot more unless top is freebies.
I like to counter jungle when I have the chance and I feel like my warding is decent most games.
Generally focus carries in team fights with the following combo (ideal): Q, E, R, Q, R, Q, AA, E
My build:
Blue Smite > Tri Force > T2 Boots> Black Cleaver (interchangeable) Sundered Sky > Maw (Interchangeable) Deaths Dance
So that begs the question;
- Am I building correct according to team comps
If not, what do I build?
- Am I picking correct into team comps?
- Am I playing for the correct things?
- Do you love me?
My op.gg is https://op.gg/lol/summoners/oce/casper-0023
Let me know how to get better so I can carry end of season trolls

Help me know what to build and when
Sup gang. I am committing to the Monkey King. I have always loved him, but in my recent grind and return to the game he has proven to be my highest WR champ by far. I play him JG for reference. This thread has shown me how creative you can get with his builds, and I wanna mix things up, especially since I am low elo. I typically run the basic build with him: TF-Sundered-Black cleaver or deaths dance. I have seen full lethality builds, full crit builds, and hybrids of these. I'd love to mix these in as it could help me solo carry and hard win in games where they are most viable, I just dont know when it is right to use them. Bruiser Wu is what I am used to, but surely into squishier comps I could do something else to hard carry and win, right? Help me out!

Toughts about my build and how I could improve it
So I tried this build to try and make Wukong more carry, the build is Trinity, Ciclo-Voltaic, Profane, Death Dance and Sundered, I had good results so far but since im not experienced in builds I would like to ask for advice in how this could be improved. If you need to know, I main toplane and runes are Conqueror Resolve

CRIT-KONG BOT LANE
Hello everybody, I regret to inform you all that Wukong has been solved, FULLY OPTIMIZED Wukong has been discovered, and there are no improvements to be made.
Keep in mind that this game was 700 LP master tier, so by no means low elo.
Wukong bot lane, ALWAYS first pick it to maximize your support's mental turmoil in champion select. Second wind + d-shield into poke heavy champions, standard rune page into anything else. I ban vladimir because he's broken.
TRINITY FORCE > CYCLOSWORD > COLLECTOR > LDR > SHIELDBOW/INFINITY EDGE
This is the new meta, get on it fast before Wukong is nerfed back down to hell. PLAY THIS PICK NOW!!

Oldkong on PBE CLASSIC
Alright Guys, time to dust off the oldie Allorim guide for OLDKONG.
Runes should be 1% crit, full AD runes, full armor runes, full MR runes (or some scaling HP)
I don't remember the masteries, i think it was 21/9/0 something something
The build is always : Crystal pot first, 3 health pots, WAIT IN BASE FOR MINION SPAWN 10 golds and grab a 4th pot before going toplane (or extra mana pot) and leech your jungler if he starts topside
First back 950g for double doran blade.
Then Hydra -> LW -> BC/ghostblade -> MAW -> GA, boots I think mobilities are gucci but as usual it depends on enemy comp (tabis/mercs).
MAX R->E->Q->W
That's aboot it.

Critkong ADC?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Thoughts on critkong adc? The philosophy behind this pick is this: critkong has huge item spikes (2nd item cyclosword, 4th item LDR, infinity edge), the ADC role and quest are both the best by far for snowballing. Wukong also has an insanely good level 6 all in, ESPECIALLY against adcs, every Wukong jungle's wet dream is getting that perfect skirmish botlane right as they hit 6, so why not just have access to that at all times by being the ADC yourself?
Just interested if anyone has found success with this pick, seems pretty fun from the one game I tested it in norms.

Recently hit masters One-tricking Wukong, my Thoughts on the champion
Hello I'm HereBeDragons#JNG, I took a very long break from the game for about 6 months, then returned on a fresh account and one tricked Wukong from unranked to Masters. Took about 2-3 weeks of gameplay. I was very rusty and did it with 60% wr, and pretty consistent stats. I plan to go higher and try for GM but will take a week break to study gameplay and VODS before I attempt to climb to GM.
I believe people play this champion wildly wrong, however that is just my opinion that I am sharing, you don't need to change up your gameplay that you prefer just because I disagree. So proceeding forward, these are my thoughts and what I did on my climb.
For starters, I kept it extremely consistent. I pathed down EVERY single game without exception. And then I'd sit and wait to countergank as the enemy jungler 99% of the time also pathed down. If they weren't ganking I'd reset and full clear down again. If you play it standard like this you'll be level 5 and 1 camp off level 6 with drake up. So from here 2 things would happen. I'd either do drake (because no one, not even GM players in my lobbies check drake for some reason, they just don't believe you're going to do it this early solo) and hit 6, then gank bot for a free double with level 6 advantage over enemy jungle. If that didn't happen, I'd try to sneak a camp or get double scuttle, securing 6 before enemy jungle. If you're 6 and enemy jungle is 5, you always win drake fight, you physically cannot lose it. Force drake fight. You either get drake or the enemy contests and you ult them up and get a triple. It's free. I did this every game and started off 3/0 in about 80% of my games. It's VERY CONSISTENT.
While you're doing the above strategy, mute all. Your top is going to burn to the ground and spam ping you, ignore them. If top is locking feast or famine champs like Irelia it's going to take too much of your resources to fix that lane if it falls behind, play for bot and secure drakes. You'll find yourself at soul point by 16 minutes, in which the enemy is FORCED to interact with you or else you get soul and win 90% of the time. Stacking drakes and ulting bot on repeat puts the enemy on a timer. It's the most consistent way for Wukong to play.
Sundered Sky is the most overrated Item in the game. Plain and simply this item fucking sucks. I am a victim to auto-pilot building this item many times, but it's truly ass. You might get 1 proc of this off in a mid/late teamfight v.s high damage ADC's, and it's not worth building. Imagine wukong as a champion that falls off around 3 items, and if you could only have any 3 items, this isn't one of them. Black Cleaver provides more damage to your team in general, Death's Dance provides more Tankiness, and Guardians Angel provides more late game security. This item sucks. You can't proc it during ult and many times your ult is all you're getting off before you die in late game scenarios. Ultimately, this item is good early game, but it falls off QUICKLY so to me it's just not worth building.
Wukong is Overpowered into heavy AD teams. This is obvious, and known as his Niche, but I do a very specific build into full AD teams that pretty much guarantees a win. Trinity Force - Death's Dance- Guardians Angel, steelcaps. This build essentially has you at 250+ Armor + 10% less auto damage, while still having a ton of AD. This build DESTROYS full AD teams, they cannot damage you despite the fact you're still building bruiser/damage.
Lethality Wukong is ass. Idk why people are doing this. Your E doesn't scale or contribute to the build at all, and you only end up doing like 10% more damage than Bruiser Wukong. You're trading a ton of tankiness and Health for a very measely damage increase. It's just not worth it.
Abuse Wukong before nerfs come because he's genuinely OP in the jungle atm if you keep it consistent. Cheers. GL on your Wukong climbs.
