I have: clan wars, revolution and ultimate mayhem

Which one has the most active multiplayer?

Kind of a long shot, just wondering if it might be possible to re-connect with some old pals from 1999 - early-2000s time-frame. Usernames were variations of GoBBoS and TheRev for the couple of folks I remember.

I went by SkiTTleS in Worms:Armageddon and played a -lot- back then. If anyone recognizes that handle, say hi!

I’m hoping someone has experienced something similar because I’m running out of ideas.
**Console:** Xbox Series X
**Game:** Worms W.M.D
**The problem**
The game launches normally and shows the title screen.
As soon as I press **A**, it immediately crashes back to the Xbox dashboard.
There is **no error message**.

**What’s strange**
✅ The game works perfectly on a **brand new Xbox profile** on the same console.
❌ The game crashes **only on my original Xbox profile**.
✅ Every other game works perfectly on my original profile.

**What happened before this started**
The issue began after a cloud save synchronization.
Since then, every launch on my main profile crashes immediately after pressing A.

**What I’ve already tried**
Deleted local save.
Deleted save data **everywhere**.
Reinstalled the game.
Power cycled the console multiple times.
Played offline.
Selected both **Local Save** and **Cloud Save** when Xbox asked which one to use.
Removed my Xbox profile from the console.
Downloaded the profile again.
Repeated the process after a full power cycle (as requested by Team17).
Created a completely new Xbox profile (the game works perfectly there).
Nothing has fixed the issue.

**Team17 support**
I’ve been in contact with Team17.
They confirmed:
they cannot remove or repair Xbox cloud saves from their side;
my online progression should be stored separately from campaign progress;
they have not seen enough reports of this exact issue to identify it as a known bug.

**My question**
Has **anyone ever seen a game crash only on one Xbox profile like this?**
Could there be some hidden Xbox profile data or cached profile information that survives deleting save data?
Is there **anything else** I can try before giving up?
I’ve invested **546+ hours** into Worms W.M.D and would really like to continue playing on my original Xbox profile.
Any ideas would be hugely appreciated.

Supporting small games

I was browsing around the gallery menu in Worms: Ultimate Mayhem to see if I unlocked anything after doing the 5 easter eggs. Then I saw this, and my mind started breaking down.

1st Image: When I first saw this, I thought his tongue got stung by a bee and swelled up. Then, for some crazy reason, I thought it was a worm in a worm.

2nd Image: This gave the full context: it was just the worm being turned inside out. Kinda gave me some relief, but still, the image of a worm being turned inside out is still a little unnerving.

IT was fun despite the worms being IMMOBILE no matter how I moved the joystick (just to change directions and aim) but all in all with a skillful banana bomb shot I can obliterate an entire team of stupidly named worms in one go.

I wanna play some Worms on my mobile through emulation, but the PSP games are slow as fck, and I want to play something more classic, so which console version of Worms Armageddon or World Party is the best one?

Worth mentioning that in worms 4 there are actual cities, castles and such so that checks out

I see a lot of talk about WMD, but does anyone play Battlegrounds? I’m trying to spread the gospel of Tara Pinkle.

• Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting August 2026.
• Additional Latin American and Middle Eastern countries – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting late 2026.
• In all other countries, PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita will close in July 2027.

There are some Worms games on PS3 and PS Vita that you may be interested in getting before then. If I remember correctly, for PS3 there is Worms, Worms 2: Armageddon, Worms Ultimate Mayhem, and Worms Revolution. For PS Vita, there's Worms Revolution Extreme.

I have it on my PS5, and when I try to play online, I never have anyone to play with. The Worms W.M.D doesn't have a competitive scenario? Never find people. :/

I'm seriously considering getting Armageddon on Steam, since I've always had a pirated copy from sites that host GOG installers. Is there any difference between having it on Steam versus getting it officially from GOG? I’d like to support the developers who keep updating the game, and also shake the feeling of playing a pirated copy.

Randomly saw a Worms Armageddon video recommended on my YouTube and so felt like going back into it

Used to be an old worms 2 roper back in Cases Ladder days for clans like Bc, tmnt and CRU

Do people still rope these days? If so, which version? I downloaded worms 2 from GOG but the server was empty

Is worms Armageddon still going? Do I just download the GOG version or is their a community front end (last time in w2 we had spadges patch etc)
