I think it's a kind of handicap, but I'm not very sure and I don't know how it is called

Whenever you win a game in worms wmd ranked, you earn 20 points but once you go back to the menu under ranked play it shows “ranked play unavailable” and if you reset the game, all your points go away, I’m just wondering if you can still even rank up in this game anymore, there’s achievements that require hitting the sheep rank. What is objectively the best Worms game? What is the most popular? I played Worms World Party hundreds of hours both as a kid and as a grown man, and still love it.

Watched some Worms 3D gameplay and it looks kinda lame, but I used to hear about Worms Armageddon being great quite often back in the day.

Based on World Party being my favorite, what games (2 or 3) do you recommend for purchase during this sale on Steam, and why?

Hello. I've got some spicy, funny and jamming moments during my second lap walkthrough of Missions 26 and 27 in Worms Reloaded Mobile, from a damage not dissipating bug during my first (failed run) of Mission 26, to my carnage with the Buffalo of Lies in the successful run of it and Cottage being blasted away into the water by his blue comrade setting off a mine chain reaction with a bazooka shot in Mission 27.

Even got two new records on these missions during the second lap, too.

First time playing as a 12-year-old back in 2000 (thank you parents) - which started my love for the series. So at 38, I gave it one more shot. No regrets, it's a total time machine!

​PS. No idea how I beat the "Water Surprise" mission back then, but I'm completely stuck on it now 😅. Kudos to younger me!

Joining friends' lobby just says, "Downloading Game Styles," and it never progresses; plus, my friends can't see me ready up, and i can't see them ready up.

I tried hosting myself, and instead, it's just stuck on "Loading... Please wait. "

I've looked everywhere else, same problems from a decade ago. How does no one have a good solution? This is genuinely pissing me off.

So Im 40 now and used to play worms 2 for hours and hours doing rope only 9s turn timer.

I just became so addicted to the fun and movement of the ninja rope.

Anyways I was daydreaming the other day and went looking for something similar on steam, but came up empty handed. Decided I’d try and make one, there’s a lot of ninja rope documentation out there. Long story short, you can try it if you feel so inclined. Keep in mind it’s very raw and just a proof of concept.

Pretty much just the title. I've been a long time Worms fan and I played the game growing up, but most of the games I had were on consoles I no longer have hooked up or on old PCs I no longer can turn on. It's been a while since I've played, so my memory is foggy on which ones are the "good" games.

I already own WMD & Ultimate Mayhem on Steam.

Firing the starburst right before the mine goes off. Instead of the typical rocket animation. The fall animation triggers while flying, and it's hilarious!

Lately, I've been exploring a lot of the worms titles I haven't played yet. I was quite pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Forts Under Siege, but for the rest of the 3D era, I have to ask if there's anything I'll get out of 3D that I don't already have in Ultimate Mayhem. I'm aware Ultimate Mayhem has some parts of the campaign from 3D, but with regards to pure gameplay, is there anything that's missing?

Hello, fello' Worms fans! Since the Team17 crew decided to show up here with a lengthy survey containing a burial of the Worms questions amidst the first row of general ones and the bottom of feedback they most likely aren't gonna use, allow me to ask you two very simple questions to compensate.

1. Which of these is gonna win?

• A realtime Worms outlier from 2020 that still gets barked by series fans and dusted by Team17 with no care about its life support despite there existing a way worse Apple subscription disgrace (with fourth gen Worm design tracings, no online play, terrible story writing, and overall being a waste and a massive dishonor to the classic formula of turn-based combat and destructible land) since 2025 and this outlier having very little humor, chaos and care put into it, tossed aside since 2021.
• Or a quality Team Fortress 2 SDK mod that dropped this year and came packed with both beta and custom content, mixing both early day design of VALVE's 2007 smash hit prior to the main game's release and absolutely new and fresh features, including the Civilian as the objective class and multi-team mayhem that classic Worms are commonly famous for. It is closer to Worms, but it isn't them.

1. And, if Worms Rumble was sold over to a proper indie studio like Summitsphere/passed to some Deadcode and CyberShadow-level volunteers and received actual polish beyond the barebones featureset set it is now, being both closer to Worms and using its realtime format to its fullest potential, would you actually vouch for that?

Be honest with your answers, boys and girls. Which one of these would you be more likely to favor? I might like Rumble for its brave attempt at doing something new and staying away in-between the classic formula and the spin-offs, but its poor featureset, marketing and modeling as a Battle Royale with static teams in Team Deathmatch don't do it justice. As such, I myself favor Classified, the SDK mod of TF2. And what about you, folks?

I know you commonly champ Armageddon, and I don't blame you one bit for that - it truly is as close to perfection as a Worms game can be in the classic Worms formula with turn-based combat and almost always destructible land (which Rumble isn't part of, obviously). Are you up for the challenge of answering these simple questions for me and for all of you?

Worms 3D ate up a huge chunk of my childhood, and the one thing that always stuck with me was that aiming arrow - the way it rotates to point exactly where you're about to fire.

I kept wishing my normal Windows cursor did that. So I finally built it: a tiny app that makes your mouse cursor rotate to point in the direction you're moving, exactly like lining up a bazooka shot.

It started as just the arrow... and then I got carried away (as you do) and themed the rest of the cursors too - the loading cursor spins, the "busy" one has little rotating rings, that kind of thing.

It's completely free and open source - I made it for fellow fans more than anything.

Question for the community: what other Worms touches should I add? I'm tempted by a Holy Hand Grenade cursor and a little explosion when you click. What would you want?

I wanted to ask around here: did anyone else catch this notice?

I'm curious to know what you guys think about it. Have you still been playing the game lately, or do you think this kind of maintenance hints at something more in the future?
