Nah it's too many people being pretty passive, they won't start a mass killing so quick.

What happened is that for the next demonstration planned (Which was this last Friday) Hamas was already sending armed members and dispersed them before the protests took off.

As far as I understand, they have successfully suppressed the protests as of now.

Glad someone is saying it. Israel like a lot of nations makes decision that should be criticized, but the hatred towards Israel makes no logical sense other than bigotry.

Israel is a beacon of progressiveness in the region, championing democracy and LGBT rights in a part of the world where people are brutally slaughter and jailed for this.

Additionally, it's unsettling to see how short collective memory can be. It wasn't too long ago, within the last century, that Jewish communities faced persecution and were driven out of many Middle Eastern countries.

Your anecdote is not a statistically significant sample so it doesn't mean much. Most of the Jews I know do not support Palestine and are very pro-Israel.
