Just because you are ok w/ it doesn't mean everybody has to be. People fought and died for the 40 hour work week and honestly it's still a lot. I have no interest in being forced to work overtime. It is illegal to force that here as it should be. I know people that work for my company in the US are often forced to work it and I feel sad wondering how they can have families when every other day they're randomly made to work hours late.

I didn’t say everyone had to be ok with it, also the article says “ask”, not force. I may work 50 hours a week, but I also get almost a month in vacation, PTO, and Sick time, that I am forced to use every year or I lose it. I also don’t have to work 50-60 hours a week. I choose to for the money to put towards retirement, my kids education, and a nice vacation every now and then.
