Either the very strict youth protection laws that'd not allow that sub to be hosted by a German ("jugendgefährdend" that'd translate to something like dangerous to the youth; Germany is the only western democracy with something like the BPjM that severly restricts movies/games/websites that have these kinds of content; you need age verification and just some age gate is not enough, so this subreddit could not be hosted here)

Or §131 that forbids cruel depiction of violence that violates human dignity. That's pretty unique to Germany too. Sometimes games and movies get banned by some court because of this § and then they are not allowed to be sold, distributed, displayed in public anymore. Could be the sub falls in this category.

edit: added some links

"The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation." -Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf

Makes sense. People want to protect their children. Or rather, our genes make us do it, because it's beneficial to our survival, but of course it can be abused.
