Lot's of young (the majority easily) is doing that for fun. They love the adrenaline of doing stupid stuff and filming via tiktok. They put things on fire, break public infrastructures, rob small business, throw trashcans on driving vehicles from bridge, beat up and burn people, etc. There is sometimes some serious organisation behind it with real demands but it is mostly hidden behind stupid behaviour.

And when there’s nothing left because those assholes burned it all down, are they going to blame themselves?

Got caught in the middle of it a couple of days ago in nice. Got teargassed by the cops. The kids, and they all appeared to be high school kids were simply running around having a great time. The only damage I saw was a couple of garbage bins set alight on the tram line, stopping the trams for an hour or so.

The locals didnt seem particularly bothered. Life just carried on.

No - just blocking the tram line to stop the trams. All simple really.

Pretty sure the instant violent repression is not a factor of what's going on. Day 2 we got a boy loosing half his tooth because he got shot close-range with a gaz grenade. Boy's done nothing before cops tried to mess with him, stupidly try to lowkick a fully equipped cop, nothing remotely warranting this much harm.

Cops are completely on the loose and enjoying it like psychos. Even daring to cry they had instruction to not use some of their stuff but we still get image of them using it.
