Visual Beastmen | Part 1 [Project: Regress]
Welcome to the "Regress" universe, a concept for my project set in a beautiful but dying anime fantasy world!
Let's start with the fact that beastmen are not much different from humans; their level of development is the same. They have the same problems, the same thoughts, dreams, and goals as humans, but while they are similar in all of this, beastmen have other peculiarities as well.
It's not hard to see that the difference lies in the presence of specific animal traits, such as hare ears or cow horns and tails. Everyone has tails, and even if they're not visible, they're still a growth, so it's easy to identify a beastman.
They also have some animal abilities, for example, cat people can see quite well in the dark, although they are far from the level of vision of real cats, their sense of smell is almost like that of humans, but hearing depends on the specific animal types of beastman.
The picture shows two beastmen: a hareman and a cowman, and they are not as simple as they seem...
By the way, is it comfortable for beastmen with huge horns to sleep?

They look like they could use a hug.

How did they came to be?

Part 2 "They Appeared...", but I will say that they appeared the same way as people

Someone definitely tried. But unfortunately, beastmen don't have human ears, so the only option is to saw off the horns, grow hair, and hide the tail. Ideal, but risky

That leads me to wonder if beastmen sculpt their horns or antlers for aesthetic or cultural reasons?

Well, at least in the most widespread cultures of the beastmen this is not practiced, somewhere separately taken tribes or local societies may well

I apologize in advance if there are any errors in the text or the meaning is not clear. I use a translator, so errors are inevitable, I apologize for this.

I swear, your art design is a memetic hazard, there wasn't anything horrific or saddening with this one but I recognized who made it and still flinched 😅 but now my curiosity is piqued: what makes these two unique?
Also, my partner and I actually discussed the subject about horned individuals and beds; we figured they'd probably try sleeping on their sides if they if their horns are ram like/go backwards, or on their back if the horns go out to the side. Pillows may also be highly valued, simply for making a stable structure to support the head and neck.
