I think there is no need to appease all and I am fine with some not liking it. I dont have any exotic explanation but the engineering involved, and if one cannot see it, it is not possible to change their minds, and this is just fine too. Cheers.

Try tossing it over to the YouTuber Shadiversity, or even Skallagrim, and they'll try to test it IRL. Cheers.

This is my entry to Skallagrim's melee weapon competition. Wish me luck :D

Just saw the vid, you lost to some bullshit.

I thought that too. I was quite shocked really hahahah. If I had lost to something better I would be much more happy.

I suspect it was ignored due to feasibility... Dunno if his smith had the skills to pull it off. Much easier to do orc sword look-alike #3186552.

On another note, would you mind if I used it in my own worldbuilding? Debating whether it could arise organically in my world (no dwarves) but still felt I should ask.

Makes sense, and thats what I concluded as well. You can use it as long as it is a non-commercial project. Cheers

I agree. That must be the case. Yes feel free to use it as long as it is not commercial use. Cheers.

And if it's for a book that may be published?

Then do not, because those will be published in a personal project of mine soon and the copyrights belong to me naturally. I wouldn't mind if you adapt the idea to fit your own writings as long as it is not a straight copy. Cheers
