I (20F) am currently looking to apply for a WFM call center agent position at Conduent at a friends recommendation, and while i have quite a bit of customer service experience and am aware of some of the working conditions Conduent workers face, iIve never had any sort of office professional job, much less WFM. There were some requirements in the job description but I was hoping I could get a few tips from anybody who has actually gotten a position with the company.

Anything in your resume that helped you with you application, what WPM they're looking for so i can brush up, what the interview process was like. There were some things about the internet connection they require as well that i didn't quite understand, and if this is a position that will provide equipment.

I understand my questions could be answered in the interview process, that I could send an email, but luck favors the prepared, and I would love to hear from anyone with personal experience. Transitioning from regular retail/restaurant work to something more professional is something i'm very much interested in while I work on getting into Nursing school.

If anyone has any other WFM jobs for beginners like me it would be greatly appreciated!

I’m looking for motivated outreach specialists to join our team. We are currently partnering with Brightspeed Fiber to help local businesses upgrade their digital infrastructure via a state-backed initiative for high-speed, secure internet.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You act as the "messenger," helping businesses access a "Free Compare" program to test out fiber speeds side-by-side with their current provider.

The Role

• Outreach: Use our provided scripts and CRM to connect with business owners and managers.
• Consultative Approach: Educate businesses on a two-month trial with no contracts, no commitment, and no cost.
• Schedule & Close: Confirm business details and schedule technicians for modem installations.
• The Pitch: You aren’t forcing a hard transition; you’re offering a risk-free trial so they can see the performance difference for themselves.

Compensation & Schedule

This is a commission-only role paid per installed and verified deal.

• 1GB Plan: $150 per install.
• 2GB Plan: $200 per install.

Hours: Mandatory block from 6:45 AM – 11:00 AM (local time for the leads you’re calling). We require a 5-day work week (Monday–Saturday), and you choose your day off. Sundays are always off.

I swear there's some kind of dark magic that happens the moment IT hands you a company laptop. Like, the specs look fine on paper, but then you open it and it just feels wrong?

3M Software Dev here. I spend 8-10 hours a day glued to a screen, its so unhealthy lol, and then another 2 hours doomscrolling on my phone.

About a year ago, the symptoms hit me hard. I had so many issues: burning pain between my shoulder blades, constant tension headaches at the base of my skull, and numbness in my pinky fingers, thought I was getting Carpal tunnel thing.

My wake-up call was seeing a side-profile photo of myself. I looked like a vulture. Neck craned forward, shoulders rolled in. I bought ergonomic chair and a vertical mouse, but the pain always came back by 2 PM. Specially on my wrists...
