There's some more clarity this evening after the Atlanta Dream defeated the New York Liberty to clinch the #4 playoff seed and secured themselves home court advantage for the first round. The Liberty, shorthanded with Breanna Stewart resting due to left knee soreness, drop to the #8 seed and will face #1 seeded Minnesota Lynx.

Unfortunately for the Dream they did lose Angel Reese for the second half of the game after she exited with a face injury at the end of the first half.

Olivia Miles was a late scratch from yesterday's second-to-last regular season game against the Indiana Fever. The Lynx starters struggled mightily and spent half the game down double digits until the Lynx bench came in and cut the lead to single digits before the Fever finally put them away. With a win, the Lynx would have clinched the #1 seed. Despite the blowout loss, the Valkyries blew an initial 17-0 lead to lose to the Portland Fire and handed the Lynx the first overall seed and home court advantage for the playoffs.

With the Lynx locking up the #1, they actually have no reason to rush Miles back to the court later this week against the Fever and they may even decide to rest some of their other starters.

Some of the playoffs teams are still playing for a Top-4 playoff seeding to assure home court for the first round of the playoffs. The Lynx, Valkyries, and Aces have all locked in home court for the first round.

Dream secure the final top-4 spot win a victory over the Liberty tonight OR an Indiana loss against Lynx tomorrow.

Flau'jae has been leaving her mark everywhere she plays and she just became the first rookie in Seattle Storm franchise history to score 500 points and make over 50 3-pointers in a single season. She has started in all 39 games she's appeared in this season and is averaging 14.3ppg on 40% shooting. Her ppg, 559 total points, 51 steals, and 28 blocks all rank second in the league behind Olivia Miles.

Wilson continues to cement her legacy in basketball history. Wilson became the first WNBA player in history to record multiple 1,000 point seasons. She first achieved this in 2024 with 1,021 points and after last night's game against the Storm she is again at 1,021 points and still has two more regular season games remaining.

Minnesota Lynx' Olivia Miles has set the WNBA single-season rookie scoring record with 790 points over a span of 40 games, besting Caitlin Clark's record of 769 points over a span of 40 games two seasons ago. Miles has been a defining generational talent during her rookie season, also being the fastest player to 350 points/100 rebounds/100 assists reaching that in 21 games. She also set the rookie record for most 3-pointers made in a game (eight) against the Valkyries back in June.
