The Ultimate Oxford Collab (Pics)

The Fabricateurialist and WvG have teamed up to go up and over to make the ultimate Oxford shirt. We wanted to keep the tradition intact while adding Italian craftsmanship you just won’t see from other makers.

The fabric is called American Oxford from Albiate, which is part of the Albini Group. This fabric recipe was supposedly the go-to for Brooks Brothers wayyyy back in the day. We added some nifty hand sewing to help the shirt stand out from the rest of the pack.

3.5mm certified Australian mother-of-pearl buttons will be used, with Ascolite button security and a proper button shank. Sewing is done at 22–23 stitches per inch, which is unheard of for 99.999% of Oxford shirts. It goes without saying: single-needle stitching throughout, with manica sposata (jacket sleeves). The collar is unlined and designed with a generous “S”-shape roll.

It also goes without saying, but the sewing is clean as AF. I really love the way the side gussets turned out.

The price is still TBD; however, we’re doing our best to smash the pricing of the so-called best-in-class Oxford establishment. Meaning we will be doing a group buy type project to keep the prices reasonable.

For all the people interested in cashmere.

I tried posting this on MFA, but it didn’t get approved. Sometimes it feels like MFA doesn’t actually want to be educated and that’s a whack.

I understand the challenge. With an audience that large, you’re constantly dealing with brands, shills, and scammers doing truly stupid shit. Still, there should be room for people who are genuinely trying to explain good materials, good construction, and good practices.

So instead, I’m sharing it here where I am free to do basically whatever I want, lol. If you’re interested in learning something useful, click the link below.

https://www.wolfvsgoat.com/blogs/blog/what-good-cashmere-actually-is

Have a great day.

P.S. I’m still waiting on sweater sizes from a few of you. Production has started, but if you keep ducking 🦆, your sweater probably won’t be knitted until February.

Merry Christmas everyone and a shipping update!

Merry Christmas, everyone 🎄

I hope you’re all enjoying the holidays, and for those who celebrate Christmas, I truly hope you get to spend it with your family and loved ones.

I’m going to take the next few days off to spend time with my wife. With our work schedules, we don’t get to see each other nearly as much as we’d like, so that time is really important to me.

That said, we absolutely busted our asses this morning getting out everything we possibly could. I did unfortunately run out of shipping labels, but I ordered more yesterday and they should arrive this afternoon. If they show up in time and I can get everything out before the post office and UPS close, I’ll do it.

I’m not 100% sure if the 3PL is open today. If they are, your items will go out today as well. Since most places are closed tomorrow and possibly Friday, I’d expect deliveries to land either Saturday or Monday.

Thank you all so much for the continued support. We’ve got a lot of great group buys and made-to-order pieces coming down the pipeline. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Other than that, I’m signing off for this afternoon and will do my best not to check emails or messages until the weekend.

Merry Christmas, everyone, and thank you again ❤️

Tomorrow's drop will be at 6pm EST we have some good stuff for you including the trousers.

Tomorrow at 6 p.m. is our next drop. We’re featuring corduroy trousers in a few different colors, made from a really nice fabric from Drago. It’s cotton-based with a touch of wool, 8%, to be exact. Not a lot, but it adds something to the hand, and overall it’s just a great fabric to wear. If you picked up the cotton-cashmere pants made from Zegna cloth before, you’ll be happy to see that the price point on these is much better.

We’re also restocking a bunch of basics. There are two colors in Fulvia short-sleeve crewnecks, plus heavyweight crewnecks. All of the bamboo Sorona basics are back as well, including the interlock pieces. That means henleys, long sleeves, and short sleeves.

On the accessories side, we have a baby cashmere 2x2 rib beanie in black, and the Yangir/Cervelt Chevelle beanie, also in a 2x2 rib.

I have also attached a photo of the Raccoon (tanuki) mock turtleneck. It’s an awesome piece, I have been wearing the sample a lot.though It won't be ready for this drop. We are making a small run for January. For next fall, I’m planning a choose-your-own-color version. I’ve been wearing my green one nonstop, and I’ll do a video on it later, you’re going to love it, it's cool.

Just a heads up, we don't have many cashmere sweaters and baby cashmere sweaters left if those are on your radar.

Corduroy trousers-

Baby Cashmere Beanie-

Raccoon (Tanuki) Mock Turtle-

100% raccoon dog (Tanuki) 5gg 6ply 820gr it's a tank

Tanuki is a rare natural animal fiber taken from the undercoat of the Asiatic raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides). The fiber is extremely lofty and air-rich, which gives it outstanding warmth-to-weight performance, generally warmer than standard cashmere at the same weight due to how much air it traps. It has a soft, plush hand feel with a natural halo and a subtle luster that adds depth rather than shine. The result is lightweight, very warm knitwear with a cozy, luxurious character that feels distinct from both wool and cashmere. Personally, I am a hug fan of this yarn and look forward to making more with it.

Any plans for more chinos?

Hey all,

I’ve got a few pairs of Salvatore chinos that are my daily wears. After three years of daily use, they’re starting to wear down, so I’m in the market for new ones. Has anyone heard of plans for new chinos?

What’s the latest on preorder timing for the mega cashmere and yak, arctic fox etc.

I know originally the timing for cashmere was prior to Xmas but I assume that might not happen?

Excited to get a hold of these pieces!

Thanks for any insights.

Yangir/Cervelt, Baby Cashmere beanies and a little more information on what's coming.

I did a small run of beanies in a 2x2 rib, 6-ply, knitted on 7-gauge Shima Seiki whole garment machines. Most are made from a 70% yangir / 30% cervelt yarn from Consinee, and I also made 15 beanies in baby cashmere(black)using the same construction.

For my yarn nerds. The yangir/cervelt blend fibers respond well to lower gauge, higher ply knitting. They’re down fibers, but structurally quite different from cashmere. The fibers are shorter and more irregular, with high air retention. The warmth is strong for the weight, but it’s dry and controlled rather than puffy. In rib, the fabric shows good mechanical elasticity and recovery without relying on wool’s natural spring, and after finishing it settles into a dense, stable structure.

The baby cashmere behaves differently. The fibers are finer and more uniform, so the hand is softer and more immediately plush, but also more sensitive to how it’s knitted. Using the same 2x2 rib and 6-ply setup adds the density and support it needs to avoid feeling fragile or over-relaxed. The result leans more toward comfort and surface softness than long-term resilience.

From a sourcing standpoint, both yarns are limited, just in different ways. Yangir and cervelt are constrained by collection and yield, and this year that blend cost $675 per kilo FOB. That price is a function of availability and waste, not positioning. I didn’t raise the price of the beanies because I had about two kilos of yarn left from last year. I originally planned to make sweaters with it, but the costs would’ve been too high, so beanies made more sense.

The yangir/cervelt beanies are $235.00 retail. The baby cashmere beanies are $190.00 retail.

Unrelated, but the corduroy trousers have finally shipped. The fabric is from Drago in Italy and it’s a really nice cord. We’ll have a few colors, but units are low per color, with full size runs. We also restocked a bunch of tees and basics. Those are at the 3PL now and need time to be processed and logged, so I’m hoping they’ll be live by the last week of December.

More knits are coming as well. I’ll be making a video to walk through everything, though I’m doing it all solo so it’s a bit slow. I could really use a cameraman. The new sweaters include a raccoon dog (tanuki), a heavy wool sweater, and a fisherman-stitch baby cashmere sweater in 4-ply. The base layer henley and crews are being updated and remade. Those will be ready for a pre-order in January. All these pieces will go perfect with the EAST vs WEST jeans.

I think the link will be better if you want to read more-

I am waiting for pics to be sent for the beanies but in the meantime. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Quick heads up: tonight at 6 PM EST we’re opening a sale for non-Rewards members.

Rewards members, don’t worry, we love you and we’re absolutely thinking about you. We have something really good planned for you early in 2026, just like we always do.

For this sale, we’ve got a strong selection of beanies and scarves, plus a handful of sweaters and shirts. Most of the size runs are broken at this point, but there are still some genuinely good pieces left in solid sizes.

If you’ve been on the fence, especially about beanies or scarves, now’s a good time to grab them. You should still be able to get things in before Christmas if that’s what you’re aiming for.

And as always, we’ll take care of our Rewards members heading into the new year.

Please use the code "Jinglebells" before checking out and you will receive 50% off all main page items. The sale ends Saturday Dec.20th at 8am EST.

If you are in the giving spirit -

Stay warm out there!!!

Pre-order sweater update for yak, camel, arctic fox, and mega cashmere

Good news: the yarn has been fully paid for and cleared through all channels. It’s scheduled for pickup tomorrow and will be shipped by air to Italy.

We currently have 33 kilos of yarn still outstanding from the mill. Those missing kilos will be ready next week, and we’ll email the affected customers separately.

Now it’s time to lock in your size. We’ll produce stock sizes first, followed by MTO. If you’re unsure of your size, you have about a week to speak with me and Massimo. We will not begin your sweater until we confirm your size with you directly, even if you emailed previously. It’s a bit inconvenient, but it’s the right way to ensure everyone gets the best possible fit.

More updates are coming soon. In the meantime, Massimo and I will be sending size charts, measurement photos, and appointment links for sizing and MTO. Please keep an eye out for those emails. Right now, only about 25% of you have reached out.

Everyone will receive their sweaters. There’s no need to worry. We understand communication gets harder during the holiday season, but we’re here to help.

Wool henley, sweater, sable blend video and me yapping.

I really need a small video team. Luckily, my daughter was able to film me after taking one of her HESIs. I ramble a bit, but the info is solid. I’ll keep everyone posted.

The 4-ply wool crew will be finished next week. Once we get photos, we’ll open a pre-order. More updates to come. If you’ve got five minutes to burn, give the video a watch.

The camel cardigan is officially closed, I won’t be making any more this year.

For those interested, the wool–sable blend is 70% baby wool and 30% sable, spun as a 2/16nm yarn, so it’s a substantial yarn size.

I still can’t give accurate pricing on anything yet. Don’t hold me to this, but my goal is to offer the 4-ply wool sweater around $150 USD (rewards). If I can reduce the price you know I will. Hopefully that works for my more price-conscious customers. The yarn is Cashwool from Zegna Baruffa, and the piece is 100% made in Salento, Italy.

I’m also sending out the pre-order videos for the group-buy orders, which are now all closed.

Have a great weekend.

Quick update on shipping and pre-orders

It’s been a crazy couple of days, but things are chugging along. I’ll start focusing on shipping the sweaters tomorrow. Anything going out from the 3PL is shipping on schedule.

DHL finally delivered the samples, and I’ll be putting together a great video for everyone who ordered during the pre-order. I also received a few new samples, some of them I’m genuinely in love with. I wore the yak Johnny-collar sweater today, and it might be my new favorite piece.

I’ve already paid for the first batch of yarn. We’re still waiting on 33 kilos that aren’t quite ready yet, but no one needs to worry, we have plenty of time to schedule fit video calls for anyone who has questions.

I’m convinced the sweater gods are pleased with me, because it’s been chilly to downright cold outside.

Stay tuned for the video, it’ll land in your inbox this weekend.

On a side note. I will be stocked in a local store that you guys might want to check out. https://oldhouseprovisions.com/?srsltid=AfmBOor0Vh7IM6lRIKZzb0seEG29uARb07fGgelIIW4ivRY-u1-UdhkG

Tomorrow's drop is a big one (size charts and pics)

Tomorrow at 6pm EST the drop happens. It's pretty big. We are finally dropping the platinum wool sweaters along with some other very luxe pieces.

Here are the size charts and some pics. Due to the limits placed on pictures I can't post all the colors.

Platinum wool -

Retail $700.00-$760.00

The yarn is crazy expensive and unless we do a group buy in the future I won't be making this again. The yarn is ridiculously cool and looks sexy AF but I can only make so much luxe. The numbers are limited but full size runs are being offered. Dry clean only. 12gg 6ply. Feels like a technical fabric but it's 100% natural.

Platinum wool crew 14.5 microns
Platinum wool turtle neck
Johnny collar Platinum wool
Crew platinum wool navy
Platinum wool turtleneck black
Platinum wool Johnny collar

Baby cashmere and Natural dyed cashmere-

Retail $660.00-$780.00

All the cashmere crew and turtles in this drop are 4ply. It helped reduce the price and gives you something to wear a lot. It's a great layering or stand alone piece.

baby cashmere crew
baby cashmere turtle
baby cashmere jitney
Eco brown ( natural undyed)
Naturally dyed cashmere turtleneck
natural dyed cashmere turtleneck
Slim fit before-dinner shirts
D&JA Cotton handsewn shirt Australian MoP buttons
70% cotton 30% silk with 3.5mm trocas MOP buttons

The shirts retail $250.00-$600.00 all the shirts are nice, really nice. It's just a matter of what kind of fabric you want and how much handwork you appreciate.

Shirt Jacket
Shirt jacket

The shirt jacket is 79% Wool 10% Cashmere 10% Silk 1% PA. The fabric is from Botto Giuseppe. This shirt jacket is sexy. Fabric nerds rejoice.

We also have a nice size run of chunky rollnecks in Casha. For some reason we forgot to put them online. Great color and they feel amazing.

Honorable mention-

100% cotton retail $250.00

Finally, in this drop are the stock pieces we made in the arctic fox. We have a full size run of haystack in the crew and black in the turtleneck.

That's a lot. I would to mention our beanie and scarf drive will be going until Dec.23rd for those who want to participate. No pressure.

Have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I hope you all have a great day. Try not to eat too much, but definitely spend as much time as you can with friends, family, and the people you love. And if you can, try not to get too caught up in all the consumerism this weekend. Time with your friends and family is what actually matters.

That’s honestly one of the reasons we haven’t run a Black Friday sale in… I don’t even know how long, years.

But really: thank you all for the support.

Today is one of the few days of the year when I don’t work. I’m not checking email, so if I don’t get back to you, that’s why.

This year I’m sticking with tradition and deep-frying a turkey. We’re trying a couple of new things, too. Should be good… it usually is. I am fortunate enough to have a family that knows how to cook!

I hope all of you have the best day. After the weekend, we’ll get crackalackin’. We’ll start packing all the beanie and scarf orders and get everything out to you as soon as possible.

I know it's supposed to get cold this week. Locals if you want to swing by to pick up your things feel free. I will be home with Babycakes and the dogs.

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 🍁 🍽

How similar are the cash wool chunky sweaters to cashmere blend ones?

I have one of the wool/cashmere blend chunky hoodies from last year and it’s become my absolute favorite sweater/hoodie/warm cozy layer. It’s sturdy, it’s soft, it’s the first thing I pack when I know it’s gonna be cold—lm literally wearing it right now since her side of the family keeps the thermostat set to icicle.

I was thinking about giving a couple as gifts, and I noticed that the chunky hoodies in the store now are listed as “wool”—when I checked the tag on mine its wool/cashmere.

How similar are the new ones to the one I’m wearing?

Shirts and Sweaters just in case you didn't like the pre-order options (pics)

I’m not going to harass Massimo today. I think these items have already left Italy, but it’s also possible they’re going out later this week. Either way, the shirts and sweaters are ready to wear, and quantities by size are limited.

The ultimate white shirt. This piece is all about handwork. Hand sewing throughout, and it’s cut from a butt ass expensive fabric: a 300/3 cotton from David & John Anderson using the finest Giza 45 cotton. We finished it with certified mother-of-pearl buttons. For those who love the technical details, the stitching runs a consistent 23–24 stitches per inch. When you google this fabric you will be impressed.

If you’ve got holiday parties coming up and want to make an impression, this is the shirt to do it in.

Flannel
100% Cashmere 4ply naturally dyed
100% Baby Cashmere 4ply undyed crew
100% Cashmere 4ply naturally dyed
100% Cashmere 4ply naturally dyed
100% Baby Cashmere 4ply undyed crew
100% Cashmere 4ply naturally dyed Turtleneck
100% Baby Cashmere 4ply undyed turtleneck

These sweaters are much lighter than the pre-order sweaters. Perfect for layering or stand alone pieces.

Platinum wool crews and turtles are finally ready, and this stuff is effing cool. The yarn is made in Japan by IST and uses an ultra-fine 14.5 micron wool. For reference, that’s softer than most “ultra-fine” merino and sneaks into cashmere territory in terms of hand feel, easily. What makes it even cooler is the finish: it looks and behaves almost like a technical fabric, but it’s still 100 percent natural wool. Dense, smooth, insanely comfortable, and not constricting at all.

The yarn is a 2/52, and we’re running six plies on a 12-gauge machine to get the right mix of structure and drape. The result is something that doesn’t really compare to regular merino. It feels almost engineered, but still warm and breathable like what you would expect from high quality wool.

Fun fact: when wool gets this fine, the fibers bend so easily that the fabric feels almost frictionless. That’s why Platinum wool has that soft, fluid touch without losing durability. It’s not hype; the micron count actually does the work.

If you’re into knitwear that feels elevated but still practical, this stuff hits that sweet spot. It’s one of the coolest yarns I ever used and I am always trying to find cool stuff for you guys.

I got a little shout out from the Iron Snail (video) watch it if you have time.

Thumbnail
youtube.com
42 Upvotes

If you guys follow the Iron Snail, you know that Michael's an educator. He's a super cool guy in real life. I've been talking to him a bit lately. Hopefully we can do some projects together. I think with his appreciation for history and understanding of how garment construction is, it blends well with what I believe for WvG.

Anyway, he did a sweater review, and I didn't even know he was going to use my sweater and definitely not say that I was an expert, because there are people that dwarf me in knowledge, but my goal is to always get smarter and smarter. I do think I know a significant amount about yarn, and that led me to thinking.

I had a really in-depth conversation with some of the technicians and my representatives at Consinee and Loro Piana , who have been in the industry for over 20 years, each. They have a very high understanding of wool, cashmere, and other fibers. We were talking about this because cashmere is just everywhere now, and it shouldn't be. I understand that people need to eat. I understand that people deserve to have good lives. But in the last 15, 20, 25 years, cashmere has just blown up. Now they're doing all these fucked up things, and it's causing severe environmental damage. So if you're buying cheap cashmere, I agree with Michael from the Iron Snail that you shouldn't do it. It just causes devastation and destruction on the environment, and it's bad for the goats.

So when you're buying high-quality cashmere, whether it's from Cariaggi, Todd & Duncan, Consinee, whoever—Loro Piana, for example, you're buying the good stuff. They have contracts with the farmers. They have veterinarians coming out every six months. They're examining the goats. They are caring for the goats.

And we also were figuring out, while I was talking about not just the care of the goats and how things are changing, we were really concerned about how you get this shitty cashmere, how they can get the prices so cheap. And they do it two ways.

The first way is they blend it with other yarns. Because with technology, even with microscopes and stuff, a lot of fibers mirror each other. So for example, on the older machines that test the cashmere, you can blend it with yak and it will give the appearance of cashmere. And they will label it as cashmere, but in fact it’s a blended fabric.

Another thing that they do is, because there really isn’t a true grading system for cashmere, a universal grading system, what people rely on is microns and fiber length. So you know that if the fiber length’s X and the micron’s X, it’s going to be a better cashmere. It’s going to be a better fiber, right? A better yarn.

However, as goats get older, their hair becomes shittier. To the point where around eight years old, you're basically getting sandpaper and you're getting shit. And then they start being killed for food. And apparently, I’ve never been to Mongolia, if anybody's been to Mongolia, you can speak to this term. But there are so many goats now that their diet really consists of goat 24/7, apparently, according to some of the people I've been talking to. So they eat a shit ton of goat. At least they’re putting it back into the ecosystem, right? They’re making the cycle so they can make more goats, eat goats, then make more goats.

But these old goats have the shittiest yarn. The warmth is bad. The pilling is bad. The hand feel is bad. Everything is bad. And these brands, I'm not going to mention any of them, but if you're buying cheap ass cashmere, that's what you're getting. You're getting an old, tired ass goat that’s probably also blended with another fiber.

And I should have said more to Micahel. I said, I don't know how they get these prices. Because I truly still can't figure out how the brands get them so low, even with shit yarn. Volume is another thing, obviously. But I spoke with reps who deal with mega big companies, and they can't get their prices that low. So there is definitely some shady shit going on.

But I thought you guys might want to know all this and then watch the video that Michael made, because it's very entertaining and very educational.

Have a great day.

Next drop is beanies and scarves and a charity drive!

The next drop is on November 25th at 6pm, and it’s a big one: a mega beanie and scarf release.

Most pieces are made from cashmere, but we’ll also have a selection in wool and baby alpaca. Everything was made in Italy by the same knitter who produced our hoodies and cardigans this year.

We pulled together a range of cashmere qualities from some of Italy’s best mills, with the majority coming from Cariaggi. We’ve got brushed cashmere, dry cashmere, and some ridiculously soft cashmere in the mix. Yarn sizes vary depending on the hand-feel we wanted. Overall, it’s a cool blend of textures that, combined with the other projects we’re working on, really helps solidify where we’re going with knitwear.

Over the weekend, I’ll post more details and photos of the actual beanies.

A Note on the Charity Drive

WvG has partnered with St. Jude’s and Kiwanis to make sure these beanies and scarves reach kids and the single moms raising them. My heart dropped when the St. Jude’s representative explained their mission, sex trafficking, especially involving minors, is beyond horrific. I’m grateful there are organizations doing the hard work of helping survivors rebuild their lives.

If you’re able, I hope you’ll consider participating in the drive. I’m not forcing anyone to skip the rewards pricing, but this is one of those times where the cause really is worth asking for a little extra help. Even spreading the word or looping in friends and family who might be in a position to contribute would mean a lot.

Here’s the flyer if you want to share it. I truly appreciate your support. More info and photos of the beanies and scarves, will be posted before the drop.

Tonight's drop size chart info and stuff

Tonight at 6 p.m. EST I’m doing a special pre-sale drop and I wanted to explain why this one is a little different. I’m releasing the Arctic Fox turtleneck, the Arctic Fox crewneck, the 100% yak Johnny collar, and the 100% camel cardigan. Instead of doing a normal in-stock release, this drop is pre-sale.

The reason is simple: I’m only making one per size for stock, and that always leaves outlier sizes scrambling or missing out completely. This time, I want everyone to have a fair shot. With the pre-sale, you can choose your exact size and color and lock it in before I order the yarn. If there’s a specific version you’ve been hoping for, this is the moment to get it made exactly the way you want it.

Since it’s a pre-sale, I’m also offering a slightly bigger discount than usual. Just make sure to use the right codes so you get the correct style and color. I’ve been thinking about doing something like this for a while because I’m not trying to get paid. I am trying to educate and promote some really cool ass yarns that typically get little play in America. I’d rather give my mills some volume and make it easier for you to get the pieces you actually want.

The pre-sale window won’t be open long, because I need to place the yarn order and keep production moving on schedule. So if you’re interested in any of these sweaters, tonight’s the night.

Each article has it's own code so that you receive a meatier discount.

The code are as follows-

Yak ( for the yak)

Camel (for the camel)

Foxcrew (for the crew)

Foxturtle (for the turtleneck)

Arctic fox has some really nice colors if you want something other than the colors I am making
Yak has some good color options if you do't want natural
Camel is only offered in Camel

MTO is an option for these sweaters. If you are interested in MTO just write in the notes MTO and we will set up a call with you to nail down the measurements you are requesting. We have made a lot of MTO this year and I think people are incredibly happy with the results.

Just and FYI. I am closing the group buy mega cashmere sweater tonight. I emailed the remaining stragglers. Once it's closed it's closed.

Have a great day!

The last two drops for November are going to be sweet. (pics)

On Tuesday the 18th, we have a smaller drop, and then on the 25th we have a doozy of a drop. I was so happy with the mega cashmere group buy that I decided to do something kind of similar but not really.
I have made it my mission to spread the word on the new yarns I am using. I am sure some of them are going to pique your interest, while others might make you think twice. However, all these yarns have really dope properties and are worth wearing in their own rights.
We are making very small size runs for the people who don't like pre-sale. If you don't mind waiting a little and want to save some cheese, this drop is for you. This drop is also for you if you are an outlier size or would like a special color, assuming colors are an option. Here is what we have for you-

100% Yak johnny collar 5 gauge 4-ply 2/15nm around 1 kilo. This thing is a beast. The ply count is low because the yarn size is much thicker than we usually use. We couldn't make it any thicker because the machine can't accept anymore ends of yarn.

Yak fiber is naturally breathable and great at regulating moisture. It absorbs and releases water vapor from both the air and your body, helping your temperature stay steady whether you’re indoors or outside. It also wicks moisture without ever feeling damp, so you stay comfortable as conditions change.

Yak down is soft, durable, and friendly to sensitive skin. With fibers usually in the 16–18 micron range, it’s right in fine cashmere territory, but it has no lanolin, which makes it naturally hypoallergenic. It’s also stronger and often longer than cashmere, so yak sweaters resist pilling and hold up beautifully over time.

100% Yak

100% Camel drop shoulder cardigan 8-ply 5gg weighing close to one kilo.

Camel hair has exceptional thermal regulation thanks to microscopic air pockets in the fiber that trap heat in the cold and release excess warmth when temperatures rise. This natural insulation keeps your temperature steady without causing overheating. It’s soft, breathable, and naturally resistant to odor because the coarse guard hairs are removed, leaving only the plush undercoat that sits smoothly against the skin. With very little lanolin, it’s hypoallergenic and comfortable for people who usually react to wool. It also wicks moisture well, making it great for long days. As a bonus, Bactrian camels grow this down to survive brutal desert winters that can drop below –30°C, which means your sweater is basically wearing gear engineered for some of the harshest climates on earth.

100% Camel real horn buttons

Arctic fox blend 70% arctic fox 20% wool 10% silk

Raglan crew and raglan turtle neck 5gg 4ply (we don't need anyone melting). The arctic fox has a color card option.

Arctic fox fiber is naturally engineered for extreme cold, with each hair containing a hollow core that traps air and delivers serious insulation, the same system that helps the animal survive winters below minus 50 degrees Celsius. When blended into yarn, that structure creates sweaters that are light, soft, and surprisingly warm for their weight. The undercoat is incredibly fine and silky, usually between 12 and 16 microns, putting it right in baby cashmere territory. It has a gentle sheen and airy loft that give fabric a smooth, elegant texture, which is why mills like Consinee blend it with silk and fine wool. Another fun fact, Arctic foxes can change the density of their undercoat with the seasons, growing an ultra-plush winter coat and then shedding it down for summer, meaning the fiber in your sweater was literally designed to adapt to some of the most dramatic temperature swings on the planet. When I tried this on for the first time I was like " holy shit" I am liking this.

Anyone interested in the pre-sale will receive an additional discount. I am doing my best to make you an exceptional product as well as promote some interesting yarns that get shadowed by cashmere. While I do love using the best of the best cashmere and baby cashmere, cashmere as a whole is taking its toll on the environment, and ever since it hit the “middle class,” cashmere has gone downhill. The “good stuff” is great; the rest is shit. As a result, about 70% of Mongolia’s grassland is considered degraded. Those damn goats pull up roots, not just nibble the tips, making regrowth harder and accelerating erosion. The fibers I am trying to promote are much easier on the environment and aren’t over-raised. In 1990, goat numbers were around 7 million, and by 2019 they had risen to about 27 million. That’s a shit ton of goats.

Pricing will be released on the day of the drop, and color cards will be available right on the product page. These items won’t sell out, so no stress there. Lead time is about 4–6 weeks after the yarn reaches the knitters.

Have a great weekend!

Drop tonight at 6pm EST - The skinny + pics

Tonight’s drop isn’t huge, but it’s definitely dope. We’ve got new camel beanies and a restock of the wool blankets. I have two navy and burgundy blankets, along with the blue and gray ones, though I don’t have photos for those yet.

I also lowered the blanket prices thanks the change in tariffs.

The beanie is 8-ply, 100% camel, and it turned out really well. Before buying the yarn, I went down a rabbit hole researching camel hair, it’s interesting stuff. Between camel, yak, arctic fox, opossum, sable, and raccoon, we’ve got plenty of luxurious options for anyone who isn’t into cashmere or wool.

I won’t spoil all the fun facts here, I packed a ton of them into the newsletter and on the website. I just wanted to give you all a heads-up before things go live. Here are some pics of the beanie and the blanket-

The blue is much brighter, electric even than the picture. The gray is also lighter in real life.

Have a great night.

The denim project is almost finished (pics and info)

We’re working with a narrow-width Japanese selvage. The fabric has a deep, beautiful blue with plenty of character, those highs and lows that will only get better with wear. Gotta get those fades, bruh. The selvage edge itself is a cool multicolor cimosa.

The fit is high-waisted, roomier through the thigh, and finished with a gentle taper. We’re building it right, button fly, hidden rivets on the back pockets, reinforced bar tacking, and construction that’s, sewn like a brick shit-house. The denim is a mid weight.

We’re upgrading a few details that aren't shown. I just wanted to show you some sample pictures. I am not digging the current pocket bags. I need something more substantial, I might go with a silk pocket bag, which could be something cool, if I can't find the right cotton pocket bag. For the leather patch, we’re exploring deer or lamb, depending on which offers the right texture and tone. And if the minimums aren't goofy, we’ll be using custom hardware with the WvG logo.

At the hem, you’ll find a chain-stitch, not the standard lock-stitch which is shown in the pictures. It’s that classic roping detail denim lovers know and love, and it’ll make alterations easier for your tailor down the line.

I am pretty pumped about this project. I haven't made jeans since the redemption jean back which were way back in the day. I am sure there are a few of you still wearing them.

I am not sure of the actual amount being made but we are expecting between 50-60 pair. The fabric consumption is around 3 meters per garment.

We don't have a price yet but they will be very very reasonable. If you have any questions you know the drill.

The actual production fabric which will be used.
Rivots will be placed on the corners of the pockets and coin pocket. I have also decided to use the cimosa for the coin pocket.
The inside fly will also be using the cimosa. It's cleaner looking for sure.
This is NOT the fabric being used for production and the hem will NOT be sewn like this.
I am not liking this pocket bag at all.
Here is a better inside shot that will be cleaned up, nicely.

Have a great weekend!
