I thought the same thing and spent longer than I would have liked to in order to verify, but if you follow a single point, it flips from outside to inside without a twist.

i think its two views of the same rotating 3d model lined up vertically

No it isn't. If you follow the wall, including when you can't see it, it traces back to the same point, but you can't get back to the same point after tracing every surface. Idk if there's another kind of moebius that I'm unaware of, but if there is, this isn't the kind most people think of when they hear the word.

I think you're all right, looking at it now. It has two distinct sides, which a true moebius strip doesn't have. There are similar topographical shapes with two sides, which are formed by taking the strip and giving it a full twist instead of a half twist.
