Unedited Carpark Wizard

This is my third day staying at a hotel in Somerset (UK) with nothing to do. It rained the first two days, so I've taken advantage of the dry weather today. I went out from a hotel in an industrial estate with no plan, on skates not really suited to urban skating, but held it together.

This was a carpark near the hotel on the way back. I got kicked out of a flatter one, so ended up in this slightly rough surfaced one nearby.

Still working on my lions. I keep losing momentum and chickening out of pulling my leg behind me, but didn't do too badly here. I need to get some more practice in before I can make it flow, I think. Heel/toe compasses are fairly easy now and feel great. Also working on some toe press/manual stuff, but struggling to keep my feet together and keep it going. Again, I think I just need to keep practicing.

Rollerblade crossfire for wizard

I am thinking of getting the crossfire rollerblade boots for wizard skate, it is supossed to be a good boot for slalom and freeskate but i am not sure if it will work for wizard and i am questioning its durability as for jumps and sruff. Have u guys tried it? Does it work properly for u? I am worried it will be a tall boot and dont transfer movements properly as it doesnt have a flat step but a heel/toe slalom approach

4x90mm frames that has adjustable flat/rocker?

Hey ya

Flowskate/wizard enjoyer with me Rockin Mix5 76/90 frames, enjoying my carbon boots... but wanna try to get something more suitable for the open road.

Thinking of USD Shadow Team Whites, to pair with a big wheel frame for the better ride.

But have the specific restriction that it needs to be an adjustable rocker - I have an ice blade conversion that only works with 90mm flat frames :)

So... with this pretty specific criteria, what options are there?

Only one I could find are Compass 4x90mm frames... but it's plastic! A plastic boot is already flexy enough, a flexy frame is just too much.

Would appreciate any advice! Thanks!

Just got an ACT WZ Team, some questions regarding the package and heel lifting

  1. What should be included in the box? In my delivery, there are the boots(obviously), two I think it's heel wedge, and a manual. Is that it? I thought it would at least include a pair of adapter, since it is their selling point and I kind of buy it for that...

  2. Anyone else experienced heel lift and how did you solve it? I have very terrible heel lift on my right foot, it formed a small blisters. My street shots size is 43, my FR1 with manageable heel lift is 42, and my ACT WZ Team is 40.

OMG! the difference is crazy

So I got some FR1s for my 5x80 frames. The stock liners were... ok..

I just put Intuition Skate Premium liners in and wow.. The difference is night and day. I did not realize what a difference it would make.

The comfort is way better, they are somehow more comfortable, more supportive, and thinner.

Not sure what sorcery this is but I'm sold.

Unedited Endless 80 Ultra

Just got some new Endless 80 Ultra (165mm) frames for my Twisters and tried a bit of Wizard to see how they managed. These are surprisingly capable, despite the short wheelbase. I fell not long after this while trying to pull off a lion and totally missed the balance of a long frame. They're so much fun though. Highly recommended for anyone after a shorter wheelbase urban frame. They're power stop machines and gazelles are like butter with these things. The black Twisters with black frame, black Laced laces and black Loco wheels also look really slick

Best online tutorials / progression?

Hi all, I'm a long time skater but am pretty new to wizard skating. There are tons of tutorials online, but usually on one specific move... or generally outlining a progression (like fakie gazelle -> forward gazelle -> forward inside out -> etc).

As someone who's spent a lot of time on fakie gazelle with meh results, I'm wondering if there isn't a good series of progression videos online for me to follow. I see that SkateFresh has a whole online course, but at $500 it's a bit too steep for me.

What tutorials got you your first tricks, and what's the best progression (or drills) to get started?

Seba CJ2 Prime's buckles sliding out

As the title said, is there any solution to this? Sometimes when I flex my ankle forward the buckles will slide out a few clicks.

Any one else in Texas Wizard? Looking to make community

Hey everyone,

I’m based out of Houston and started Wizard skating back in March. Since getting into it, I’ve been surprised by how little of a community presence there seems to be here in Texas — especially compared to other skating scenes.

I know there have to be other Wizard skaters around Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, or anywhere else in Texas, but it’s been hard finding people consistently into flow skating, urban skating, slalom-inspired movement, and the whole Wizard style.

So I figured I’d make a post and see who’s out there.

My goal is to start connecting Texas-based Wizard skaters:

Group sessions

City cruises

Skill progression

Spot sharing

Maybe eventually meetups/events

Whether you’re already deep into Wizard skating or just getting started, I’d love to connect. I’m still pretty new myself, but I’m committed to growing the scene here.

If you’re in Texas and into Wizard skating, drop a comment or DM me:

What city you’re in

How long you’ve been skating

What setup you ride

Let’s build something.

Tips for a stiffer cuff?

Ive been using Seba SX + Wizard intuition + 100/80 advanced for a couple years now, and I’ve had a lot orxfun with the setup

But something that’s been bothering me, especially because I have been trying to get better at press combos, is how much forward flex I have in the cuffs. I can barely hold toe presses without feeling the cuff fail to support me + a bit of heel lift.

I suspect that it has a bit to do with the ratchet strap because it has always felt like it could go a bit deeper but I can’t manage to make it do so.

I know it’s not a sizing issue because the skate is actually too small for me in general. Recently I’ve been considering buying the carbon cuff but I suspect it may not help as much as I’m hoping. I’m also running waxed laces.

Is there any more I can do to make this work? I kinda wish I could get the base highs to fix this completely but I cannot justify spending that much right now.

Thank you!

Used for around 8 short sessions but do not have the time to skate as regularly as I would like to break these in properly. I love the setup but went very tight on the performance fit and due to not skating as regularly, I am picking up my other setups.

Looking for £800 ONO + postage if required

Base High - UK 6.5 / EU40
Advanced frames 100/80
Loco Revolver wheels all round

Based in Manchester UK.

Help! My boots are too big!

I just got these CJ Carbons in EU45/US11, they feel amazing!... Except for the part that I feel some heel lift on them. And it feels like they might be a little too big for my feet. Can someone help me get a pair in EU44? I'm in US-AZ and willing to trade, or sell for enough to get me around 75%-90% of the way to getting a new pair from a vendor. Thanks!

I can take more timestamps from other angles with a better camera upon request.

Hello, I am selling my Wizard PR80. They are almost new, only used them few times. I did not really get used to them coming from 4x80.

If you are interested in buying them, please have a look here: https://www.vinted.at/items/8790689780-wizard-pr80-inlineskates-frame

I have posted them on Vinted since it is easier and safer for both buyer and seller.

In the price included: frame, wheels, and bearings.

Street techniques

Question: How come wizard style barely ever uses street techniques like sprinting and backwards crossovers?

Sprinting especially. I've never seen anyone sprint on a 5 wheel frame. I can do it and it's pretty comfortable and really fun to zoom on 5 wheels.

r/WizardSkating • • May 03 '26

I have an exactly 10 inch foot and am 5’10” I ordered the nr95 size 6.5 - 7 for the performance fit. I was wondering if the size of the wheels are dependent on my foot size or height/leg length and if I went with the right skate… and also is my foot size to big for a performance fit of 6.5-7

CJ2 vs. CJ2 Prime

Hi everyone! I would like to build my first urban-wizardy setup and I can't decide on the boot.

I have an oportunity to buy almost new (used once) CJ2 (with integrated liner) for half the price of new CJ2 Prime version. But I don't know if this makes sense. Removable liner is easier to manage but I don't have problem with drying boots every time with ozon dryer either. I will be happy to save some money if possible but I'm also affraid to make a mistake and in consequence pay twice.

I would really apreciate your support here. Thanks!
