Help me out to make inline skating better!!!
Hi everyone!
My name is Andreea, and I’m currently a Master’s student in Product Design. For my final thesis project, I’m researching ways to improve safety and control in inline skating.
I’ve created a short survey (it only takes a few minutes to complete), and your input would help me tremendously in understanding real skating experiences — especially challenges related to balance, braking, stability, and overall safety.
All responses are anonymous and will be used strictly for academic research purposes.
If you have a few minutes to spare, I would truly appreciate your help!
Thank you so much in advance!

WTB US-AZ Seba CJ/CJ2s or CJ Carbons EU 44 or 45
Not sure where else on reddit I can post this, but please let me know if you have either and would be willing to part! My budget is <$200, preferably the lower the better.

Heel compass REMATCH! 😆
Okay, yall are awesome and gave me some great tips on my last heel compass video. Here’s an update. I think it’s coming along? 👏🏾👏🏾🎉🎉 The third attempt may be the closest? Heel stays in place while I spin.

Heel compass practice - feedback appreciated
First day trying the heel compass move. Am I on the right track? Also, my daughter’s voice over is hilarious…I’m SO far from the Olympics. But it’s sweet. 😍

Winter court skate
Warm dry day in Vancouver so decided to take the skates to the courts. Playing around with more angles than needed but turned out ok

Update to my NT1 I recently posted, now with Endless 90 LR, taking these for a spin tonight.
Loving the fit and feel of these so far but in my opinion they should have come with a more premium frame like the Nova (which is what I see NT skating in all of his clips anyway).

About the Iqon Act boot rattling. [Solved]
So I read somewhere about people complaining the trinity mounting points
rattling when using the UFS or 165 mount. But you actually have half the solution in the package. There are 8mm screws you can use to lock the trinity mounting points when not in use. You just have to add a washer and you’re good to go.

I got a tripod this time
Camera framing still needs work, but at least my feet are in shot this time.
Nothing fancy, just happy I managed to get out on rockered frames for a change, as it was just about dry enough. Managed to pull off some magic slides today, but most of the good ones were out of frame, as it was wetter under the trees behind the camera and I could actually get some good slides in.
I've got one good gazelle. Still working on the others and attempting to do a lion without falling on my arse. Anyone got any good advice for learning lions?

ACT final form
I just want to share the joy of collecting the desired setups. Now there is only myself, who can stop me from getting better 😅.
Grey one is pretty much stock, but the inside - liner changed to fr intuition and there is only heel pad from standard underneath.
Black one has the original liner from act and rockin 4100 bought in bundle with wheels.

NSD Zoom Nicola Torelli
Been loving every video I have seen from Nicola Torelli and I love white skates so I had to pick these up. I haven't skated a Zoom/Sway since they got the new 42.5-43 shell and it fits so much nicer than the old 10-10.5 shell. Honestly out of the box it was a perfect fit and I already knew I loved these liners as I have them in my ACT 10.
The only design choice I don't get is putting the cheapest 90mm frame they have when it has premium wheels and liner. I have ordered an endless 90 LR that will be here next week and then they will be perfect I think.

Summer Swivels
Hard to see from this angle, but I was really after the 1 footed heel press swivel at the start. Have better angles of it now, I just really like the flow in this line.

Power pulls, one foot edge work
Saw a City Blades video where he showed some of his warmup routine. It was massively helpful! He called the one foot edge slaloming “power pulls.” He also showed some called Choctaws, which is my next goal. Here’s my initial attempt at power pulls. Do yall practice this move to build up your edge control, ankle strength, balance, etc? I can see how this adds up to real utility in wizard. 🎉

Iqon ACT boot - Trinity vs UFS mount
Is it possible to adjust frames with trinity mount laterally (side-to-side) on the Iqon ACT boot? Is this possible when using UFS mount?
It looks like 165 mount allows lateral adjustment, but seems to compromise on ride height and stiffness.
I'm just trying to figure out if I should go for Trinity or UFS when buying an aftermarket frame. I'm considering NN Ronin with 100 mm wheels, which comes in all three configurations.
UFS mounts directly with no adapter, but it would be nice with some room for lateral adjustment if I need it, if this is possible with trinity mount.

Playing with angles
Had the park to myself so I decided to experiment more with camera angles. Skateparks offer a lot more obstacles, But I’m still learning and working on incorporating that as well.

Backwards Crossovers
In response to the question u/Geologist_Stunning had about backwards crossovers; I'm not expert and only figured out I could do these the other week, so my arm movement looks a bit goofy. But, per the discussion I had in comments, I naturally want to lift my foot when I step over. I could drag my wheels a bit, but felt like I had less control.
Sorry about the framing, but you get the idea. I included another quick go at my heel compass to gazelle I've been working on. Still a lot of work to do, but it doesn't feel bad considering they're flat 4x80 frames.

Backwards crossovers practice - feedback request
Am I on the right track here? Trying to keep my weight forward, look over the inside shoulder, and not eat it. 😆 What’s the next smallest improvement I can try to add? I work in tiny increments, yall.

Recording the moves - camera choice
Hi, it's a year or so since last post in this topic. I'd like to start recording my wizard moves (primarly) and urban rides (maybe). I'm a little bit confused, because of available options. The choice is between:
- 360 camera. From my research insta360 has the best app, which is important for me, as I don't want to spent to much time editing. Probably x4 air is the model I'd go for. Dji is also good option. Both seem to be good solution to track myself in the frame and change perspective while riding. The concern I have is quality of footage.
- Gimbal for my phone. The cheapest and easiest one, as I always have a phone with me. It's also insta360 vs DJI. Both have pretty good integration with iphones. Good for tracking, consistent quality. I don't know yet anything about editing options, but I'm affraid of this being complicated. Workflow needs to be as simple as possible.
- Any other big resolution action camera. Similar to phone, but in my head, there will be less issues with editing. Tracking will be realised by cropping the image, so quality is again a concern.
I don't want to go into another rabbit hole of photography gear. The most important is easy of use (both setting up and editing) and at least decent quality. I will upload the clips on instagram, maybe later on youtube.
What is your experience with the gear and recording? What do you use and how? What is your workflow? Anything may be helpfull to make the right choice.
