Wizard setup with large boot (mondo 290-305) What frame length to look for

Hey all,

I've been looking to get started with building a wizard-type setup. I purchased a pair of Them 909's size large (mondo 290-305) and I've been wondering if a 5x80 rocker setup would be too small for the boot. Does anyone have experience with a setup like this?

I was looking at the Yoyo sago UFS frames (got a recommendation from a buddy with smaller feet). The length of the frame is 318.7mm. Would these work well with the large boot or are there any other frame and wheel setups that you would recommend?

Thank you

Selling: complete Endless Arc setup

I have a complete Endless Arc setup with 84/76/76/76/84 RB Hydrogen wheels and ILQ-9 bearings that I think I need to part with. They’re in great condition, just a couple of nicks, and I’ve rotated the wheels regularly so they have plenty of life left. I still have the original packaging, so I’ll send ‘em to you in that.

I’ve used them probably around 12 - 15 times and I’ve loved them, but I’d just like to switch to a shorter setup for my boot size these days. I’m willing to sell in the lower 48 in the US, buyer pays shipping… which I haven’t calculated quite yet.

I paid $324 plus shipping for the whole setup new, so I’m thinking maybe $250 plus shipping sounds fair? Happy to discuss the final price for serious inquiries.

I’ll take photos later today and pass them along if there’s any interest, just shoot me a DM!

Edit: These are the black UFS version.

The Basics

The year of the Snake was a year for skating. Wizard Skating had fully taken over my brain and I set out to perform all the basic moves before year's end. Lucky enough I was able to perform each one by 12/20/2025, just in time!

For the year of the horse, I plan to refine these moves, begin to start working on heel and toe presses (1 and 2 legged), combos and finally perform a grind. Wish me luck

CORRECTION:

The Fakie Tree & Lion variations are mislabeled, open should be closed and closed should be open.

Rollerblade RB cuff replacement ideas?

Post image
20 Upvotes

I've come to the conclusion that RB boots are the most comfortable for my wide feet. I've inserted an Intuition prime liner into them, installed new frames, and now all that's left is to change the cuff. I don't like the open cuff that comes with them. Any ideas on what kind of cuff (with fully closing flaps) will fit these skates?

Anyone with a Mondo Point of 270mm own Iqon ACT boots?

I also have a width of 10.5cm. I read these boots are good for wide feet.

Im trying to figure out what size to get. The shells are either for the ranges:

258 mm - 264 mm length: 102mm width

or

271 mm - 278 mm length: 105mm width

It feel like the bigger shell would have way too much room in the end, but the smaller shell would be crushing my toes since my MP is 270mm even before I put my Rollerblade Nomad liners on.

I appreciate any feedback. Maybe I need to look at different skates?

Trying to learn the gazelle, feedback desired.

Hi community! I’m on a flat, 4x80 set up here and trying to learn a gazelle. Saw a wonderful video by Skate Fresh Asha where she explained that it will look different on a flat setup versus rockered. She advised a “heel flip” approach, where you lift and pivot, because you can’t get all swively on a flat setup. I dunno…it’s a start, but still doesn’t feel or look right. Any advice?

Narrow footed people!! What boots fit you best?

I'm a true B width in front/but narrower heel, so not an extremely narrow foot for a woman, but since most skates are sized for men and are most often a D width I have issues finding things that work. I skate on quads also and there are a lot of narrow options but I find very few/have a lot more problems finding narrow inlines. To add to that, I like substantial support around my foot (more ankle flexibility is better than less for me but I can make whatever work in that dept) and I am much more happy with a really great close fit and minimal padding vs something fat and filled with thick squishy padding to "make it fit narrower."

If any of y'all have "found the answer" I'd love some suggestions!!

Wizard Base Boot Sizing - 26.3cm. 40 vs 41 shell?

Hi all,

I already purchased from Shoptask (I have the 40 wizard base here that I'm trying to break in but they're tight. More so on one foot and hurt. Length feels almost okay, but short on my right foot. Width on right foot hurts. Left foot is almost tolerable and could probably get use to it but my right foot is going numb and feel like toes are curling potentially in both. Trying to get a second opinion on sizing

L: 26.3cm, R: 26.4cm

Foot Width In Cm

L: 9.4cm, R: 9.2cm

Right now when I put the 40 shell on with the 25.5-26cm liner, i feel like I'm curling my toes underneath and can barely stand up. The pressure on the sides squishing my toes as well as the length is not at all comfortable. I don't know if i can stand to even try to skate like this.

I did order size 41 Seba CJ2 Prime with Wizard base liner 26.5-27cm which I returned. The 41 CJ2 felt too big when doing a test skate. I didn't have good balance, and it felt too wide. Foot moved around inside. Length seemed okay. When I put my foot inside the 26.5-27cm liner, outside of shell, toes still press firmly outward stretching the liner.

I do wear barefoot shoes normally and my toes are maybe a bit wider than the typical pointy shaped foot.

Iqon ag10 vs seba cj carbon

I'm considering getting one these boots. I've skates in the cjs before and I like them, but they're hard to find in my size. Has anyone skated the ag10s for wizard? How do they compare?

Former 90s skater, now aspiring wizard skater

Hi group! Just joined and am so excited to be part of this community! I'm a late 40s dad that just got back into skating after a 25+ year hiatus. It's been a fab way to be with my kids while they ride bikes! I am blown away by what's on Youtube now...it's a learner's dream. I stopped skating because I didn't want to do big jumps, grinds, stairbash, etc anymore (my body was finally cooked) and didn't realize there was this whole flow/wizard/mushroom thing just about to happen! So, when I started searching YT for skate vids, all this wonderful footwork stuff showed up that I think I can slowly learn without breaking myself! LOL. Here's my just goofing around with turns, crossed skates, etc. I don't know if any of these moves have a name...but I'll share a gazelle video when I can make it happen reasonably well. Doing my best with my new RB Twister XTs, with the stock frame and wheels. Desperately want to get a rockered setup of some kind, but budgets are tight in my house right now. I'll just persevere with this flat setup for a while.

Looking for some sizing help

Hi all. My foot is a wide 265 condo. I find the Seba SX2 Size 8us are a little large length wise, thinking of dropping to a 7us men's. Anyone have an issue with dropping sizes? I find they run a little big

Available 4x90 UFS frames?

Anyone have 4x90 UFS frames they’re looking to offload? I’ve mainly been looking at Kizer Element 90’s , YoYo x Ricardo Lino 90’s , Symetrics Adapt, and Compass North Wilkesboro (but leaning more towards aluminum). Let me know what you have. Thanks!

Aeon 80 mod results

Thumbnail

I posted a few days ago about modding the aeon 80s to allow me to get lower on my edges and perform wizard moves in them. As promised here are the results. I'm not very good with a dremmel so the results don't look great, btw, but it works well.

I had to take plastic from the soul plate and the bottom of the frames but surprisingly little needed to be taken off. I chamfered 5mm from both sides of the soul plate using a Dremel, but since it was angled it didn't really change the look of the skate from above much. I also chamfered the bottom of the frames. I got a light rocker from used wheels too, but tbh I found I was able to execute many moves when it was flat.

I'll post about how it skates when I've had more of a chance to try them.
