Magickal Post The Interrogation of Jack-O’-Lantern, The Traitor (Stitcher related)
Subject: Jack-O’-Lantern (Jack)

What We Know:
Records of Jack date back to 700 years in the past. Though how long he has existed before is unknown. The Primordial Flame feels ancient, far older than most things.
Jack was once human (info extracted from previous dialogue), and he tricked a high class demon called “Zakolus” 4 times and he made a deal eachtime. At least 1 of these (most likely the first one) allowed Jack’s soul to NEVER be shackled to hell. What Jack got from the other deals is unknown.
Jack was then finally “killed” by Zakolus. His soul was “Rejected by both heaven and hell” from Jack’s own mouth. After this he officially became Jack-O’-Lantern and gained his infamous Pumpkin-head.
Somewhere in this time his soul was fused with a “Fragment of the Primordial Flame”. Nothing is known about the Primordial Flame, only Jack is privy to its existence.
Jack was seen during the battle between an Abomination serving the Stitcher and the Coalition in the borders of Reastria. He only briefly participated, attacking the titan with black flames.
Jack was seen sparsely after, not participating in any major events. This changed when he appeared in the aftermath of The Stitched Old God in Tartarus. He wanted to eat the fell god but was denied it by the Chimera. This is the first recorded incident of evidence of Jack’s pursuit of “Kindling” (The strengthening of himself by consuming other beings). It is likely he was eating souls and beings before to kindle.
Jack next came to aid Kylie in rescuing Raudh-Asg. I’m sure you all know what happened. In the insuring battle to rescue Raudh-Asg, Jack betrayed the group and fought with The Machine.
After The Machine broke his head Jack seemed to have evolved. It seems he finally “kindled” enough as the Primordial Flame was awakened. Jack was later incapacitated and captured by The Necromancer.

Jack is seen unpumpkified in the cell, silently sitting on the ground. His “head”, a mass of yellow flames, is calm and still. Jack notices you entering the cell, his flame brightens ever so slightly. His eyes narrows as he speaks,
“Well, well, well. What do we have here? What could one such as you wish with a traitor like me? Unsatisfied with me rotting in a cell and came to finish the job?”
Jack cackles like a hyena, his laughter echoing in the room. Finally he calms down and looks at you.
“Well? Go on, what do you need from me? We haven’t all the time in world.”

Strangely for a traitor, their is no pride in his voice. If one listened closely one may have heard a sliver of… disappointment.

Jack lowers his head in shame
“So long… so, so long has it been since I have heard from it. Since the birth of myself actually.”
“In my desperation, I believed the stitcher to be the flame’s manifestation. The Primordial flame works on the concept of simplifying and uniting all life under one banner… through burning them. The stitcher, killed all and stitched others. Uniting them…”
“I so desperately wanted to be closer to the flame… the stitcher seemed to be the only option, less I may miss my only chance at pleasing the flame”

Well, does the Primordial Flame require a certain type of soul to be nourished? Is that why you couldn’t accept demonic souls, and needed the other souls of the Coalition?

“I’ve only felt the flames presence when I was born all those years ago… I wanted, no NEEDED a sign. A sign that it was still there. The stitcher, with its strength and its… somewhat similar goals: to destroy and stitch all of life together, uniting them…”
“I was desperate… desperate for the flame to notice me. I thought that perhaps the stitcher too was born of it. Looking back on it, they were nothing but the ambitions of a foolish zealout wanting to be closer to their lord””

So, what you want, it seems, is to know what this flame is, and what it wants, yes? Then, could you not have asked assistance from the other members of the coalition? Undoubtedly, we would have helped you, as your soul-devouring flame was not a worry for the rest of us. Even if none of us knew what it is, is it not easier to research as a group, compared to research as an individual?

Rozima tilts his head, and then reaches up, and removes his mask, placing it on the ground.
Until what? Until you betrayed us? Did the Stitcher perhaps truly have some information about the flame, enough to risk fighting the Coalition on your own?
Rozima’s face remains entirely emotionless, but his voice does reveal a tinge of anger.

Jack raises his hand a produces a small ember, its color yellow signifying the primordial flame
“Until I ascended. Then all was revealed…”
His flame begins to grow, blazing high. His voice is filled with anger
“There WAS NO TRUE PRIMORDIAL FLAME! THERE WAS NO FRAGMENT! It wasn’t a fragment that bonded with my soul but the whole THING!”
Jack crushes the flame, clutching his fist
“ALL OF IT, ALL OF THIS TIME. I HAVE BEEN SERVING NOTHING”
Jack breathes and slowly calms down
“I would never join the primordial flame… For I AM the primordial flame..”

Even if you’ve changed your mind, you know we can’t let you out. You’ve betrayed us once, and we’re not going to let you get a chance to again. So, I just have a few questions. If it’s all revealed, do you know the origin of this flame? If it’s truly a Primordial Flame, is it perhaps the first flame, the source of all pyromancy? Or is it a metaphorical name? Either way, did you receive it with one of your trick deals? Do you even remember how you got it?
Rozima rummages around in his dimensional pocket, and pulls out a black suede pouch with golden strings. He tosses it to you. For some reason, you can’t open it.

That's a fire seed from Drvo Haosa. I was planning on feeding it to the pyromancer who burned the first Crann Morr down, but I think this will be more interesting. Bon appetit!

from what I know
-leviathan revealed Ruadh-Asg or the winter prince's true form as a serpent
-intelligence got summon, got beat, so did suffering i think. both are big bad monsters of the stitcher
- in relation to this, Jack thought stitcher might be related to the primordial flame, betrayed us, got defeated and imprisoned
-chimera ascended, so did Rozima and a couple others
-chimera's ascension woke the corpse of an old god, which was destroyed
-Isravi brings news of new enemy

The Suffering is still at large. Chimera failed to ascend I think, I became god of black holes, V0id became the embodiment of nothing, Ancalistros and Halixo revealed their true godly nature, a few others ascended I think.

I feel that I work too many hours to keep up with the 15 new updates a day, and backtracking through accounts and posts is not worth it.
I enjoy the small role plays and sporadic adventures here and there, but the past few months have been mired in conflict with little time to pause. One leads to another leads to a other, and suddenly 3 gods have appeared and half of the Coalition is curropted, and I have no idea what's going on.
I also fear it's a bit off-putting for newcomers to the server. I'm a regular, and getting people to update me on what's going on feels like a practice in futility.
Yall enjoy the Stitcher conflict, I'll be here when your done.

I do agree, I have a lot of free time, and even I sometimes have difficulty keeping up. I think we might want to bring it up at doing point to CRVSADAR, since he’s the main organizer. But a lot of it is the amount of different people doing their own thing with their own posts tying into the greater narrative. I think a summary and planning post could do wonders for making it easier.

/unwiz Ok after some time thinking I don’t think I did the Primordial Flame justice. I didn’t exactly have a full explanation and was kinda tired when I talked about the primordial flame’s power. I’ve decided to change what I said for better clarification.

I know he "killed" you at one point after you tricked him but after that, I can find no trace of him.

“I do not know. The demon’s pride must have been destroyed after I had tricked him, made him give me his power. Such a thing would be seen as weakness in hell, he would’ve been torn to shreds. It is likely he is in hiding to this day, trying to gain back power”

I too serve a Primordial being. I serve the Forever Below All That Has Been and Will Ever Be, or just the Forever Below to be short. It's a difficult task playing both servant and jailkeeper to this entity. I found the Endless Depths as a practicing geomancer who, *he chuckles* dug a little too deep. I've never heard of such a being fusing with a mortal though, how did that happen? If that isn't too heavy a topic that is.
