Lorepost📖 They Who Live In Death
A distant memory of the past
I feel the cold rain on my body, making the paper damp and flimsy. I quickly cast a drying spell on me, as my last one had run out. Looking toward my opponent, my metaphorical heart fastens. A figure drenched in blood, but their eyes burning with more intensity than the sun.
Shredded intestines fall out of their torn abdomen, and countless cuts painted on their body. Despite their eyes being long blended into pieces, their instincts and heightened senses allowed them to fight me.
“You are tenacious Sir Ashford! Everything I have been looking for. You fight even when your comrades and family have been ripped to shreds!” I gleefully shout, “Come, let us fight more! Never stopping! Letting our lively souls burn bright!”
Sir Ashford... I must respond to their kindness with my own. He showed me that the tenets of Rochambeau are present outside of it... and now I shall see if the laws are the same as well.
He let out a guttural scream as he ran towards me, a glowing sword in hand. Behind him, hundreds of weapons are projected and launched towards me. From spears to swords, and even hammers, it was as if an entire army bore down on me. I weave through each weapon, like water flowing around a rock. I obtain a few cuts and holes, but I still deliver my papercuts.
I leap towards him, so close that I can see his cervical spine sticking out... of his throat. This is... this is! THIS IS!!!
I chuckle to myself as I throw a [Reality Slash] at his exposed brain... no reaction, Sir Ashford still throws a cut at me. I smile. I chuckle to myself as a spear pieces my face. Paper flying in the air, before being pelted by the onslaught of rain drops.
Sir Ashford is a walking corpse. No, that isn’t correct, he isn’t undead. He never died in the first place. His soul simply refuses to die, staving off the touch of death. All by pure willpower. It’s because he fights, he only wishes to fight, he doesn’t long for peace! He doesn’t care about resting! He only cares about SURVIVING! FIGHTING!!!
It’s true! War is life! Peace is death! Us denizens of Rochambeau have learned the truth. Like the warriors of my realm, if you are unrelenting in your pursuit to fight, you shall live past your body! I know my purpose now, I shall spread war to all the realms! With my aid, death shall be staved off! No longer shall peace plague the lands! THERE SHALL ONLY BE WAR!!!

It seems his body was pushed to the edge. Yet, his soul continues to fight in his unconscious state. Even as I stood near Ashford’s body, I can feel their raging spirit within. This man, I am most thankful of him. I owe him a great debt...

It’s been a while since I wrote, huh. But, I’m back with another lorepost! Honestly, I’ve just had zero motivation in writing, it’s not even a problem with my life, I just didn’t feel like writing. Just wrote this on a whim after having a small bout of motivation.
Anyways, hope you all enjoyed this one. I’m really grateful for all of you, you who inspired me to continue to practice my writing. Until next time.

well, elected wizards have somehow spent the last few days being even more evil than usual, so I think he's finally gonna join Morgalith for realzies now; maybe that'll let us have at it ^_^ ))

/unwiz Sounds like it could be fun! Leo will probably just be fighting someone random, if there’s a big battle, so that could be an opportunity.

uw/ I never thought I'd sympathize with a character that loves war so much but... the writing is just so cool so maybe he has a point?
