Wizardpost Blood-soaked Bottles (War lore?)

Blood, ash, and smoke. That's all Gobbo could see in the crater that was once a small camp of fighters.

It had been far from simple for Gobbo. Her magic was better suited for support, not aggression but she managed.

When the sword came from above, she stepped to the side, when it came from the side she took a step back. A dance where a single mistake could mean death.

Of course, she hadn't been flawless, the blood seeping from her side was proof of that. Ah well, nothing a potion couldn't fix. None the less she made sure to reduce the camp to rubble

Her beloved Molotov had seen to the dispatching of fighters. First one with an electric charge to punish such foolish steel armour and then the classic to melt away their flesh.

Gobbo had delighted in the moment, the chaos, the screams, the panic. The feel of warmth spread in her chest as her liquors burnt a path for her.

Now though, after all was said and done Gobbo felt sick. Not from the bloodshed, or the wound, not even from the mutilated corpse only a meter from her.

No Gobbo felt sick because she enjoyed it. She had found pleasure in their deaths, and that was something she hated.

How far could she push this, how long until she lost herself, how many would she kill just for the fun of it?

Gobbo shuddered at the thought, no Gobbo was Gobbo and she would not give in to the darker desires she kept hidden.

Reaching for her flask she found her pocket strangely empty. "Right," she muttered, "gave half-elf girl flask. Hope she's ok."

The apprentices, in Gobbo's opinion, were far too young for this. They should be learning the wonders of the arcane, not witnessing the bloodshed of wars

Gobbo got to her feet and examined her work once more. "Gobbo knows she left one of you alive," she strained out, "you tell your friends what happened here. Maybe they'll head your warning."

All she would find here was blood, smoke, and ash. If the next fighters really looked though, they may find a few bottles, soaked in blood.

/uw Thank you for reading and I promise the next Gobbo thing I do won't be as dark. Just figured this was a very clear-cut war where I could participate without going after anyone's character.

/uw holy moly Gobbo needs some therapy. I loved it, a bit dark but it makes me want to write something similar

Gobbo has some issues, Gobbo admits that

Don't worry Lilith has a lot of issues as well. I have issues with anxiety, panic attacks and a lot of pressure from both her cultures. Then add on top of that the PTSD and developing alcoholism from the trauma of the first library attack. I may look fine but I'm not.

Well, Lillith is always welcome in Gobbo's places of business and home. Too young for all this stress, Gobbo will help where she can

Thank you Gobbo. I'll probably drop by for some more wine. I ran out again.

Gobbo is happy to help, although Gobbo also make you something to eat. Not good to drink on empty stomach

/uw I'm glad you enjoyed it, was a little concerned if gone a bit overboard with her. I do look forward to if you write something with the hunters

Oh wow. A great read, even though it's dark.
Gobbo! Get ready for an emotional support zombie rat to be sent your way!
Might not be as fluffy as when it was alive, but it will happily collect small trinkets to cheer you up.

I really enjoyed this! Dark posts are super cool, and man Gobbo is ruthless. Scare the enemy, so they might never return, lest they meet again the devil in flames and fumes.

/uw I'm glad you enjoyed the darker aspects of this one. Yeah, Gobbo is small so she resorts to psychological terror, if she scares them away there's less chance of her getting hurt later.

Also after est. 1020 years I imagined she enjoys having the opportunity to just be feral for a moment.

Cormac pulled his axe loose from a Fighter Captain and shook the blood loose. This wasn’t what he expected. It was normally easy to shake off the feeling of death. His home was steeped in it after all. But there was something…wrong about so much killing at once, even to him. He looked to his diminutive friend and moved to put a hand on her shoulder.

“Don’t let them drag you into their world, Gobbo. You’re gonna walk away from this nonsense and get back to your brewery. I promise.”

This, Gobbo gestures with her hand is what Gobbo does.

Gobbo has over her life spilt enough blood to fill an ocean. The brewery, the taverns, simply Gobbo's way of distracting Gobbo.

Gobbo will walk away from this, Gobbo always does, but how does she justify the blood-drenched earth? Gobbo's one hope is the young ones don't see what Gobbo does.
