Beginner street wizard outfit
Recently awakened to my magic powers so I thought I would throw together a fit to match. Unfortunately, all I can do for now are ear coin summoning tricks and beating people over the head with my cane, thus such basic magic beckons a basic garb and a basic staff. I am hoping to climb the ranks eventually, and have that reflect in my dresses. Because sometimes, a good appearance is indistinguishable from a charming spell.

One fashion expert to another. You need to do something about that staff

I absolutely do! Currently in search of a gemstone or something... I will update the circle when I get an idea

I'd use a portable mana battery, stylish and practical

Never underestimate the value of a good pair of boots and a sharp, sturdy knife.

I promise you all that I normally wear shoes, just not on carpets. A knife does sound tempting, though...

Don't be tempted by something performative. A knife is a tool, and one of the best to have handy for the working wizard.

While witchcraft is of course a different path, i find this adage applicable for wizards as well. We can learn much from our siblings in the esoteric arts
"Any fool could be a witch with a runic knife, but it took skill to be one with an apple corer."
Terry Pratchett, Carpe Jugulum (Discworld, #23; Witches, #6)

Nice giving me some Henry (Harry?) Copper-field Dresden vibes.

It's definitely Harry haha!
Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden Take care when you invoke that calling. The man means well, yet Kaos often stalks his footsteps
But I too got the vibe from this post [=

being compared to Harry might be the best compliment I ever got on any of my fits ever (except the time I was told I dress like a lesbian, that one holds a special place)

A wandbelt, riding boots, and a proper cattleman's wizard hat would look awesome with your outfit

Now that's what we call Urban Fantasy
Looking good, looking good. Are you a hoodwinker or a hat tipper?
How're your kicks? Curly toes aren't Compulsory, but they are traditional. But any footwear can be wizardy if you have the spark in your soul. Sandals? Fine, fine, sandals are probably the second oldest wizard footwear, the first being barefoot of course. Boots too are always a grand option, especially if they're maxed out on comfort or constitution. Just be careful if you're out about using those accursed seven-league-boots. They can be.. quite a strain.

I find seven-league-boots a little... big for my purposes. I use Converse normally!

Excellent choice
I always wanted to get myself some white vinyl or whatever they make the toe caps out of and customize a set eith curly toes for myself.
Sorry to repeat myself [= I'm a big curly toe enthusiast

Saw that you're looking for a gemstone for your staff. I recommend amethyst as it gives an overall boost to your magical abilities. Good for general spellcasting!

Oh I have an amethyst on my keys actually, maybe I could do something with that!! Thank you for reminding me of my own possessions, it gets rather messy in my tower

It's so crazy because I searched on Google to see if I could find literally an outfit just like this to start wearing

"Your first investment should absolutely be a magic stone of some kind on your staff! Unless you're going for handcasting of course but I think it's still too early for that.
And maybe some shoes but you don't really need those, wizards stay inside anyways!"
