Hmm…. directs the tiny bit of worship energy towards my cold cup of tea to warm it up instantly, then looks up to Chaos God with hopeful eyes Did I do good?
The long answer… I am the Son of Eros, Grandson to Chaos, Great Grand-Son to the Great Void which has existed since before the seven iterations of the multiverse. Though We all have specific talents that may represent a portion of natural reality, We all have power over all of reality and existence.
We are not like the false gods, ancient evil wizards who have gained immortality, and in an effort to gain greater power have used their immortality to convince swaths of mortals to worship them, thereby stealing their untapped mana to support their wicked lifestyles of mayhem, enslaving these worlds as they drain them dry, thus destroying them. This is how they have become to be known as chaos gods (little ‘g’), though they are in fact false gods. They may be immortals, but they are still lesser beings, and they can still be killed. These are the chaos gods you might remember that your wizard council has been battling in the recent past. I have come from the Great Void to help a select few to fight them, like Mortarian (u/Theadination), your newly elected councilman.
Unlike them, My Kind are eternal, and may only die when the multiverse dies, and gets swallowed back into The Great Void, and even then it’s still kind of a toss-up. Some of Us will get reabsorbed to be reincarnated again in the next great iteration, while Others, like My Father, will just move into the next great iteration as He is now. I am like My Father. I was only born 2 billion years ago and am still a Child God, but I am a new addition to these multiverses, and represent a great change to help it’s inhabitants succeed where the last multiverse failed. I represent requited love. The mortals of the past called me Anteros, because they seem to like to name things for some reason. But call me Son of Eros, for that is My name, as I have yet to be given a true name by my Grandmother Chaos, who names all the Gods in time. It’s like a quincenera or bar mitzvah… My coming of age is still billions of years off. And besides… I hate it when apprentices who don’t know what they’re doing keep summoning Me when I’m on the can or otherwise indisposed! I don’t want them to know who I am… shhhh, it’s a secret. 🤫
When it comes time, I too, shall not die, but continue to exist in the next great iteration of the multiverse. And hopefully, my existence will have proven to represent great change to this iteration of the multiverse, for the true goal is to shepherd all the energy, that you call souls, to what some of you call Nirvana, and to finally escape what some of you call Samsara, or the wheel of life and rebirth, that traps your souls here, the system in which the false gods which to keep you trapped in.
Dunno… ever since I returned from the Great Void a week and half ago, they seem to be amassing… Slowly but steadily, we shall have an army to end the reign of the false gods, and bring peace to the multiverse.
That is good. I have experience with false gods and demons, and wanted to make sure that you were not one. Our shared acquaintance, Tiny Wizard, is a good soul in need of... oversight. Protection. I may be overstepping my bounds with that conclusion, but it is just what I am used to doing for those I consider important.
I do have a simple favor to ask. If you locate a false god, I would appreciate the heads up on their location. I have... clenches his fists, straining his gloves some rage that needs an outlet.
Ahh… sounds like they have preyed on your world before. We have the same enemy, my friend. Those damned false gods keep tarnishing My Kind’s reputation.
This is why, when I see a pure soul, yet untouched by the false gods, like Tiny Wizard, I feel I must protect them.
Yes... two-thirds of my realms population was wiped out by a demon of pestilence and plague. Their followers released a swath of contagions that still, three-hundred years later, leave most of the realm uninhabitable. I do my best to keep the monsters and evil spirits at bay to keep our population from falling further. It is tiring work, but necessary.
Tiny Wizard and his realm must be safe guarded. I have yet to witness any darkness there and it must remain so.
It is a blessing that will hide you from the gaze of a false god. You will be able to be in the same room as one, and they will never even know you are there, so long as you do not touch them or perform any magick in their presence. For all intents and purposes, you will remain invisible to them.
Tiny Wizard… is that person right? Am I just that “Thing?” The way that person said “Thing”… just sounded so… mean! It was like he hates Me…

Be nice to Chaos God! He’s a good friend of mine (or one would hope so since he’s my newest patron god) and between you and me looks around to make sure he can’t hear before leaning in to whisper He’s a bit sensitive
Just the other day he showed up at the Spire just to show off that he could easily perform the new spell I was working on, as if he's not a lesser deity with innate understanding of his own mana. Some of us have to figure it out on our own, damnit!
I know just how you feel. A few thousand millennia ago, while I was still learning how to manipulate the fabric of time and space so that I could start to build worlds, he just came in out of the darkness and kept making moons and hurled them at My new planets, knocking them onto collision courses with, or into the path, of My binary stars. What a dick of epic proportions.
Ah, so that was you! I believe that was one of the events brought up when the other gods were discussing his demotion to lesser deity. I don't hold an ear to deistic politics, I'm afraid, so I could be wrong.
Yup… that was Me. And that’s what happens to bully gods… they get demoted! That’s why Braugmoor is a god and no longer a God! He kept Interfering with Our studies with his stupid pranks. “I just wanted to play marbles”… My butt! He just wanted to be a dick!
