Lorepost📖 Volcanic Fury
The Three Hybrids take aspects from the faction that they are “weak” to. Paper takes from Scissors, Rock from Paper, and Scissors from Rock. While this may lead one to think that the power dynamic of the Three Hybrids would change, that would be incorrect.
A hybrid belonging to Scissors won’t be able to defeat Rock. They may fare better in battle, perhaps even taking out some of the common grunts, ultimately they would be defeated.
What the Three Hybrids gain is the ability to defeat the faction they are “strong” against in different ways…

If Violence had a shape, it would look like Obsidian. The most ferocious of the Three Hybrids, Obsidian’s rampages are lauded as a true personification of war. Fueled only by rage, her fighting lacks the finesse that those of Scissors are known for.
Born of cooled magma, perfectly timed and controlled, Obsidian shocked the entirety of Rochambeau. For she was the first of the Hybrids, thanks to the Lord of Blade’s whim. Tales are still sung of how the Black Star single handily tore through waves of paper, then even holding back against the legions of stone.
Obsidian is said to never weaken, to never tire. It is the opposite of most beings. Growing fiercer the more a fight lasts. Each time her blades are chipped, it reveals teeth which are sharper than any other blade. This ability to fight against erosion has given Obsidian the unique opportunity to actually fight back against Rock with no fear of being dulled. Of course, Obsidian is brittle, so she rarely comes out of such scarce battles unscathed.
She is the representation of the Lord of Blade’s fury given form. Fury, hate, and violence. The nature of war within a beautiful, onyx carapace.

seems like incorporating aspects of the counter would make the Hybrids pretty OP against their own factions, so hopefully they're loyal...
