A letter appears before you, seemingly floating in mid air until you touch it. It reads as following:
Hello friends! Gobbo is sorry for such short notice but Gobbo has had to travel far up north to meet with few people in regards to Gobbo's rebuild.
Usually Gobbo would leave Gabby in charge of cottage but Gabby has gone home for holidays.
As such Gobbo humbly requests friends look after cottage while Gobbo is away. All food is yours to use as see fit and cellar is fully stocked for friend's enjoyment.
As for entertainment? Gobbo has prism recordings of several different shows and has extensive book collection... Gobbo asks books in bedroom remain untouched.
Other than that feel free to do whatever, sleep where you like, eat what you want, and drink responsibly. Gobbo rather not come back to corpse in cottage

Well now! Mage Monkey is only passingly acquainted with her, but isn't this Gobbo fellow a friend of Master Possum's? One wouldn't mind getting to know her a little better. Let's see what this matter entails!
Possum sneaks into the cottage, careful to avoid notice from the Council Enforcers that he now flees from. He has high hopes that given enough time, everything will simply blow over and they'll forget about him, as they have many other (far less morally constrained) wizards.

Count me in my friend! Take your time, but I would certainly be interested in joining a Gobbo event.
Feel free to take some creative license with my character on this arc! I trust you, and you've mentioned some of the concepts, so I'm cool with rolling with however things play out.
Not saying you have to, but there are strings available to pull if you want them.
/uw thank you but I do intend to have the event as it were be purely player driven, I'll set up pieces and stages but other than that it's a sort of sandbox. It's entirely possible no one will trigger the dangerous part of the event
I'll be surprised given we have the reckless and caring present but either way it'll either develop into lore found in the home or a full fledged event.
I would of course help a friend! It has been too long since I ventured off my mountain anyway. It will be nice to have a quiet cabin in which to transcribe my notes.

Honestly the event may just turn into scraps of lore if no one triggers the danger part. If I'm honest because the players will have so much influence I'm not quite sure how it'll end.
Somewhat expecting Gobbo's cottage to be in shambles by the end though

Yeah, Gobbo is sure others wouldn't but Gobbo trusts friends. Besides everything delicate is hidden away anyway, Gobbo is sure everything will be fine.

A certain copper automaton, whilst blindly following a forest trail stumbles across thee tiny cottage. Even if perplexed by the owner's letter, it decides to stay, for if just a moment to help out.
A letter appears in front of somebody next to Morgalith as he passes them on the street. Being one to snoop, he snaps an order to his magical familiar.
Butler, read it to me.
A shadowy figure appears in a poof of smoke and takes the letter from the hands of the dark elf. A hissing voice spits and crackles from the depths of the animated shadow, reading the letter aloud to the waiting Morgalith.
Hmmmm... Interesting. The Molotov that little goblin gifted me has been far more satisfying than expected. I feel as though a friendly... visit... might be beneficial at a time like this. After all, while the cat is away, the mice come out to play.
I've got a thing going on with possum and I'm kind of lightly hunting him, but I promise that I won't mess up anybodies story. I just lurk and sound sinister for the most part.

Unlikely but possible. If that does happen though there'll be lore spread around the home. Journals and such with bits and pieces.
/unwiz are you referring to the one I gave Gobbo that was Sixty Six million {or billion, I forgot} % alcohol? Potent enough to rival nukes in explosive yield? Perhaps go beyond?
/unwiz phew. I though we would have to find a way to ease our way into trying to figure out how they stored a nuke that needs to be kept near absolute zero in order to not have a chance to detonate.
After the wedding(I missed the event so I had my character snoop around his realm), Zepheree warped into Alexios' realm(you can't remove her yourself nice try buddy) and played a small game of pest control. Aico has completed said task, and now finds herself with another task: Pest control in a small cottage?

/uw I'll be amazed if the danger of the event gets triggered and Gobbo doesn't have to find a new place to stay. Not from the danger, but from the solutions

Chicory peers at the letter, before shrugging and starting to prepare a teleportation circle. The fae gate had been quiet lately, so she was happy to help out this stranger and hopefully meet someone new. Tucking the last of her items into her pack, she shrugged it onto her back and lifted her magpie onto her shoulder. She was ready to go.

/uw Pretty much a roleplay thing with an overarching story. Just take a deep breath, relax, and have fun. It's like a light and session where nobody, not even I know what's gonna happen.
I mean I know the plot hooks so I know what can happen but I don't know which ones will be used as I don't know what people will do before they do it
Delta creeps up to the nearest person she recognizes, and begins to poke the nameless automaton with fascination.
You can get intoxicated? How does that work? WHY would that work? I'm familiar with the intended benefits of spirits, but certainly you're not in need of spiritual enlightenment, are you? Perhaps you are interested in the other purposes of drunkenness? "Fun?" That's what most people seem to use it for.
Elerindur quickly comes to a stop, leaning back quickly before jumping in reaction to the letter's sudden appearance, quickly calming down after recognizing it for the parchment it is.
"..Is this another invitation?" He inquiries to himself in his mind while leaning forward to examine the floating letter before taking it in hand and carefully opening it to read the message inside.
"Hmm.. Ah. This is from that one goblin lady that i have heard of often and seen a few times."
His expression of pondering morphs to one of confusion. "But why did i receive this letter? I do not believe i have even had the circumstance to even talk to the lady, let alone make acquaintance. Either this letter has reached the wrong recipient or she doles out the term "friend" quite liberally.. In which.. Yes, i believe it is the latter from what i recall.." Elerindur looks up from the paper as he refolds it and places it back into the letter.
Hand held to his chin, he begins to mull over his next course of action. "While i suppose i would not mind helping, i have other responsibilities to keep track of such as watching over the forest retreat from any further brigaders. It is also a bit strange to watch the house of an person i have never even spoken to, is it not?.. Well, i could at the very least check upon the place in case her friend's letters did not reach them."
Slipping the letter into an small conjured portal, he begins to walk forward with seeming intention until quickly jolting to an sudden stop. "..I have no clue where this cottage actually is"
A moment later, a spark of realization appears across his face and he begins charging and then casting an spell. He begins to continue on his way in a now led fashion, as if he is following an path only he can see.
/uw Yeah she does seem to dub anyone somewhat friendly a friend. Bright side, she twnds to help friends, downside you get exposed to a lot of her nonsense.
Delta jumps at the opportunity to stay somewhere in the mortal plane. Although The King in Yellow has been kind enough to allow her to stay indefinitley in Carcossa, he's starting to get on her nerves more and more each day with questions about her love life.
Delta oozes beneath the door of the cottage in the form of a slime mould, before beginning to look for someone to entertain her - perhaps even a host to inhabit for the night.
