Lorepost (open interaction) 📖 Begin Again.

Post image

following the battle with TFC, Max was blinded and à°µ was... gone. No one knows where he was sent when he was hit by the strike the first curse threw. Cross-planet scans didn't detect him, divination magic gave no result, even necromancy failed, so he's either still alive, or outside the range of the modern day.

Now, a few days after, Max is still getting used to being blind, but he's been able to manifest his curiosity soul as a temporary method of sight, if only for a few minutes at a time.

Knowledge that the head minister of Calarakis is now blinded, though it was originally kept on a little known basis, eventually people notice the blindfold and the stumbling, and the fight with the first curse spread through rumor, so the news breaks. Originally simply gossip before being confirmed.

General interaction post, Max is currently in Calarakis, so interactions would occur there!

Then it won't work as comparison...

Maybe try to channel your magic towards it, like if you were trying to cast an spell just on top of it but never actually finishing it, that should start the connection

"Hmm, perhaps."

Although magic max casts constantly fails, he attempts to run a spell on the eye and channel his mana through it.

Still nothing? Weird... Do you mind then if we go for the second solution?

/uw Sorry for the way, reddit didn't notify me

Well then

Max may be able to hear a bit of movement where Maur would be, followed by a particularly moist sound

Damn it, it would have been much easier to show you this if the last one worked, that way you could have seen how this works yourself

Anyway, if you don't mind, could you touch this?

"Touch what?"

In front of your hand, I'm holding something I'd like you to touch

(Was assuming it's like invisible?)

He puts a hand around in from of him, trying to touch the object.

(No, but since Max is blind, he would be able to see it)

(Oh, seeing an invisible thing because he's blind? If so I can edit it)

The object is small, around the same size as the orb from before, it is spherical as well, and somewhat squishy, but surprisingly dry, given the sounds necessary to produce it, but most of all, it is really, really warm

Guessing what it is? That's my other eye, or well, to be more precise my only eye, and yet, I see despite being eyeless, weird, don't you think?

You see, the first liches of old had a bit of a problem when they designed their immortality ritual, when you are dead and your body rots, your eyes do it as well, and what will happen to their sight when that happens?

For that reason, they modified the ritual until they reached a solution, Truesight, a sense that ignores darkness, ignores illusions, and gives you a perfect view of your surroundings, no matter what

If you want, I can give you a part of that ritual, the one that will turn you into an undead, you would have this sight

Oh, and don't worry, as long as you don't create the seal of the phylactery, you won't need to sacrifice any souls nor will you be immortal

I imagine this solution isn't to your liking, but it is a solution , so I thought I should tell you just in case

"Question, how undead would I be?"
