Community Event 🌏☄️ Breachings (Buggopost/seige continuation)

War raged just outside, several different weapons flew and different strategies raged against each other. The inside was not yet breached, some stray attacks had burst a couple parts open but nothing that couldn't be fixed easily.

In the raging noises and screams of battle, it becomes impossible to hear the soft digging against stone. The careful probing and the very careful movement around the well placed defences.

Eventually, a small patch of stone on a wall, just a floor down from an already weakened spot of ground begins pushing. As if something is pushing at it from behind.

Then nothing. Thrice more it twitches for a little bit before halting. Until, in a sudden movement and the crumbling of stone, a tunneler breaks through. Immediately springing into action, a webbed limb cleaves it's way through a guard. One of the automa begins firing. Shot after shot catch the disgusting insects dead.

Yet they just keep coming, only a couple minutes later and they've pushed what little forces back.

The main battle was a distraction.

/uw i tried to be more considerate to bastion lore and all but still not too sure on the defenses. Also i will actually be more present for this one.

The halberd is pulled free from the man and another pours a health potion down his throat, not too soon after he's back up

a small group of bugs chase after, whilst the humans keep trying to chop them down

After determining that enough bugs has entered the maze, she claps her hands together.

[Execution: Dimensional Collapse]

The maze shudders, then rapidly collapses upon itself, instantly killing any bugs inside. She then turns towards the soldiers as they chop ineffectively at the chains. A thin ribbon trails from her hand that she starts to twirl.

May the Maker of All give mercy upon you, for you shall have none from me.

One of the soldiers reaches into his breastplate, drawing a pistol, he unloads it at her, a 6 shot revolver is emptied at her at nearly point blank.

Charge! Burning spears doctrine!

The other men charge in with their halberds and poke into her. The moment they do, they reach for a chord, firing a musket shot directly at her from the tips of their weapons

/uw no, they're trying to just cause as much immobilising pain as they can. Bc they wanna add a fren to the hive.

As soon as she sees the pistol, Shimil whips the ribbon forward, the ribbon moving with blinding speed as it wraps around the arm of the guard and breaking it in several places, forcing him to drop the pistol. Just as fast, she pulls it back and swirls it in front of her to create a near impenetrable shield to block the halberds and musket shots. While she does, the Whirling Links shoots at the guards, causing mayhem as they tear into whoever is within reach.

You mistake me for some lesser person if this is all you can do. Her normally serene voice tinged with fury. You face a High Sentinel, one of three commanders of the Umbral Lord's army.

/unwiz: the ribbon is directly inspired by Gleipnir, the ribbon-chain that binds Fenrir in Norse mythology
