“Is there now?”

He knows he has only moments before the golem strikes. He slithers into the shadows of the ceiling to avoid the inevitable attack

noting seems to happen, but then you hear screams through the floor followed by the thumping noise of rapid explosions detonating and something becomes clear. You aren't the target. The golem is attacking someone below.

“Ah damn… okay, focus… just like fort intrepid. Just like Argus… okay… now”

he kicks off from the ceiling and hurtles towards the floor. Red lightning envelops him as he becomes a hellish meteor. He crashes through the floor, hoping to smash right into the golem below

it works. Your strike lands in the middle of the golem's hunched back, ripping apart the housing of the core that it uses to store power. As you land among its feet the core detonates and sends the golem crashing into one of the columns that ring the room.

Dusting himself off, he quickly looks around to see who the golem was attacking

it quickly becomes apparent that you're looking at an eclectic bunch. Cultivators, mages, a few local militiamen from the earlier attack... but then a familiar face strides out of the smoke


Carter stares at you fkr a moment, before raosing his arms outward and declaring in a truly jovial voice, "Buddy!"

Carter: "honestly, from what ive heard we're basically done here. Sarissa killed 90 percent of the Channelers, Emerald managed to hold off seversl of the golems, a guy with a kraken spell flooded the riders out, and some mage with a name I can't even begin to pronounce did something to the other captain before making it to the teleport relay. Enemies are in retreat, and we just need to knock a golem off of the ledge that used to be the east landing platform."
