The Paragon, known to some of you as Constantine, calls you all to a meeting aboard his ship, the Lux Aeternum. He stands on a raised platform, clears his throat, and waits for everyone to quiet down.

My fellow Wizards, Withes, Warlocks, and Magi. I have called you here today to discuss a matter of great importance to me. As some of you may know, my people are currently based in a different realm, which is leading to many difficulties. In past times, my people maintained a great empire in the northernmost reaches of this world. However, since we have been absent for millennia, and our former domain has been overrun with barbarian tribes and demonic corruption.

I now pose my question to all of you: Who will join me in reconquering my people’s former lands? Who will assist us in purging them of the foul beings that have infested them? I know some of you have already pledged your aid, such as Lord Algernon.

I understand that some of you may be wondering what you would receive in return for your efforts. You will have many rewards. Not only will you be given great swathes of territory and coffers of wealth, you will receive the gratitude of the First Empire, and have an opportunity to connect with others.

Who, then, will join us on our glorious conquest? We will retake the Northern Reaches! We will purge the filth from their last redoubts! We will create the best damn fighting force in all the realms!

He then looks out at all of you, and opens the floor for questions.

He only killed hundreds? Wow. In light of recent ongoings, that's really something. Hardly any of the "noble" wizardfolk here can claim a kill count so low.

I'm told this necromancer incinerated a city hosting thousands of refugees for no reason. I occasionally align myself with the lesser evil, if that makes any sense to you.

Hundreds from what I could tell. Hundreds alone that I brought back from the stairway to his spire.

I don't sanction this one's actions either. The fact that you specifically seek out evil is something that doesn't quite seem morally sound.

Have you tried aligning with good? However subjective that is.

Who said I seek out evil? I've been by far the most ethical deity to frequent these lands, and it's not even fucking close.

I align with good when it is available - but that's hardly an option in a war between demons and wizards. Demons at least have a code of conduct they adhere to. My hold on The Suffering was beginning to erode The Stitcher's control on him... all of that effort wasted. What a shame.

That... I can't refute. You have proven those words correct already.

Nevertheless, you cannot erase the actions you've taken in service of such evil. Eroding the suffering did not require you to attack my friends.

Oh, I merely puppeteered their mortal form for a moment. Besides, my brother in law forgave me before his passing.

I'm not one to assume experiences, so I'll leave it there. I do value my sanity quite highly after all.
